Westview in a close one. Good draw.

Westview will have to buckle it up right off the bat. Grainger beat The King’s Academy by almost 30. I watched The King’s Academy for two days and they can play. Have a guard with 8 D-1 offers and could have very easily beat TCA yesterday. They will have to play.

What’s Grainger’s make up? Mainly guard play or big posts inside?

Tori Rutherford is their best player... I wouldn't say they have a true "big" but they do have a kid with decent size who can knock down the 3.... Westview should win by 10-15...

With 3 out of 5 of Westview’s starters having been there 2-3 years before and playing quality minutes and then freshman Harrison playin well above her freshman years, I feel good about their chances. Covington the other night was an aggressive battle test for them and they pulled through it. I think that game gave them confidence that they can take into the state tournament

Westview better not overlook Grainger. They are very long, shoot it well and can score in a hurry. Rutherford makes a HUGE case for shoulda been a Miss Basketball finalist. She doesn’t put up flashy stats every night but she makes this team go and does it ALL on both ends of the floor. She is better than one if not two of the chosen ones this year. And Longmire is better than her on some nights.

No, not at all. I respect Westview. But living in East TN...I've had the opportunity to see Grainger play a couple times. They're nothing to scoff at!

Never said they was. Anything can happen at any given moment.  But you also haven't been West to see those westview girls play.

I give Westview a slight edge due to experience. Having made a deep run the last few years, I think they'll be cool under pressure and get off to a good start. State tournament nerves are a thing. Even though Grainger made the tournament last year, I still think it plays a slight factor. Grainger plays them even the rest of the way. Westview wins by 8.

    • This whole situation is bonkers. You don’t just kick your star player off the team just because you heard them say the F word; the coach definitely had something against the player, or somebody definitely did. Also, nobody has brought up the idea that the school blackmailed the college to get the college to withdraw the scholarship offer, not to mention that the coach who kicked her off is no longer even with the program; they were fired. I think this is a pretty easy lawsuit. I don’t know if she should deserve that much money, but I think she should get enough money for a full-ride scholarship if she cannot get one after this situation.
    • Oh yeah, I’m sure you are different people just always on the same thread for some reason, always agreeing with each other, perhaps just a bunch of dorks who would like to ###### and moan about high school football coaches do a lot of other students, so you make a football team and get a yell at them. When they do something wrong, but I’m sure you don’t like that, do you?   and I’m sure I’m aware of where you get information. A teacher who was on the coaching staff but was fired after the new coaching and staff came in and realized he actually had to start taking his assistant job a little bit more seriously than just wanting to make a little extra cash on the side, hardly even showing up to most practices, should’ve left with his buddy to go to Farragut. I’m sure he could get him a defensive coaching job, but I doubt he will be there in three years. Looking at the way Farragut is currently going.
    • It may be hard to believe but there’s more people than me that think you guys are a bunch of losers.    I’m sure the coaching staff, yourself included, cursed at a bunch of high school students. Nobody could name more than 3 coaches on staff due to the constant turnover.
    • That's complete BS.  Nobody at ACHS has access to CHS student records unless a transfer is made from CHS to ACHS.
    • Trez's last scandal has died down, so I guess this is there opportunity to be the best 4A team playing in 2A a la Sissy MTN.  At least they won't be in a Z-district with 1a teams in the regular season.
