I feel like neither is better than they were last year. I feel like if SG has last years team they would beat Wooddale. SG are lacking shooters this year(not taking shots at the kids on this year’s team) just comparing them to last year team. Woods wins 78-68

Wooddale wins that game by more than 10. It will be competitive for awhile like last year game. 3rd quarter, Wooddale stretches out. Man Of Millions, I can't see them being able to handle the pressure when they decide to bring it for spurts but I definitely seem those kids competing hard though!!

No doubt. No team, until we played SSHS was able to trip up SGC with the press. I hope that Woodale is not as good at it as the hawks were.

The hawks did not shoot the ball very well when we played either. If they were hitting their shots it would not have been close. Honestly, neither team shot very IMO that night.

Hoping that SGC has figured out a way to keep it a half court game. IF, we have I think we will hang in there pretty close.

If y’all find a way to stop Lawson & #3 y’all will win!

SS got a tough draw honestly. I wouldn't wanna play Covington in win or go home game. That's a team that can beat anyone in the state in Double A.

Heard a few players say they are glad they got Woodale over Covington. Do not know much about either team but sounds like you have some validity to your statement.

So did we get a tough draw? Or did Covington get a tougher draw?

I think your draw is a tough one, I stand by that.....In a win go home scenario, don't you want a game that you know you probably gonna win or against the # 5 team in the state in Double A? You don't think Wooddale draw is a lil easier than yall? Nothing against Gibson but kinda is what it is there, Covington is better in my opinion than South Gibson as an opponent.

I get what you are saying... but I don’t believe they wanna play the #1 team in AA!

    • RR, you might remember. Didn’t someone hide the kicking shoe that game? It seems I remember we had missed a kick the week before, and we needed all the points we could get. We thought we had a better chance going for two, so $?&@$ hid the shoe after the first miss that game. No one on our sideline looked for it very hard.
    • I will never forget the 1983 Heritage vs Maryville game. I remember driving home and listening to WGAP. Can't remember the announcers name. He asked Coach Story why he kept going for 2? Story told him " Why didn't you ask Renfro that last year"
    • TSSAA will let them all go to Mase.
    • Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!
