No, just the those boys leaving Scott. Have a buddy who’s kid plays there. But he didn’t mention getting any players.

They typically don’t. It’s ok, they weren’t impact players just as I suspect if any came from Scott they’re not either. Most of the time around here IF one school gets players from another it typically has to do with a family member teaching or working at one or the other high schools or a situation where divorce or custody situation causes it. Also sometimes “county” kids in junior high change to Oneida in high school just like “Oneida” kids in junior high go to Scott for high school. Neither team is successful enough to “draw” from the other based on year to year success. Sure Oneida has more playoff games and has won it all in history but year in and year out we’re not playing on Thanksgiving week or beyond.

Alright gentlemen I need to eat my hat a little. I’ll address a few things. First off when I replied to each of you I didn’t know I was telling you something that wasn’t true. There were 4 kids in the spring that we’re talking about transferring but they did not. There were 3 different kids that did that until today I wasn’t aware of. I do know 1 for sure started for Scott but was injured during the season last year. The other two I’m honestly not sure about. As for the South Carolina kid, I have not heard anything about a transfer from there that is playing football. A family did move in but if there are any kids playing football I’m not aware. Just wanted to clear the air, I didn’t mean to mislead y’all. I may be a disliked by some of you but it won’t be because I intentionally lie to you. My apologies, now I’m gonna go wash down this hat with a cold drink :roflol:

that "one" that started at Scott High is going to be your starting QB.  I would say that's a pretty significant transfer.  :wink:

by the way, what is the ticket situation at OS or do you know yet?

Likely but if you know our offense I’d be happier getting a stud back or lineman. We’re not much on them trick plays like forward passes and such :roflolk:

Do you know about the other two. I’ve heard another one started also but haven’t heard anything about the third one if he played or not.

      Coalfield definitely isn't the same team they've had the past few years. They are still the favorites to make it out of their region because of their pitching. They have 1 arm that sits low to mid 80s and 2 other arms that are mid to high 70s with good off speed stuff. If you can avoid their top 3 bats in their lineup then you have a shot to beat them. Their 4-9 hitters are average at best. Wartburg's ace was able to shut them down last week in the game Wartburg won 4-2.

      It is the longest season. Plus, 30 games a year. No Christmas break. I would say basketball is the most time consuming.

      Winfree's senior year was the season she needed to secure more college interest. That opportunity was taken away from her. A lot of false assumptions can be made about what happened and what the options are. Unfortunately, the former coach and administration did not allow Winfree to have due process. A lawsuit was filed for a reason, and it will run its course by people who conduct discovery and take depositions. Unless the parties settle out of court, a lot of the pertinent issues will come to the public surface. The real questions are why was Winfree dismissed from the team, and why the administration backed a coach whom they did not rehire.
