Please folks, if you come to the game, WEAR YOUR MASK.   It is required at all times in the stadium -- even if you're 6' from anyone else.  Last night's compliance was only about 50% among the adults, and that could put an end to our season.   I know it's hot, and maybe uncomfortable, but cover thy nose and mouth at all times.  Please.

To be fair, most of the D-B fans including myself and my daughter were wearing masks, but the Oak Ridge folks sitting on the visitors side were not.  I despise wearing the things, but agree with you, let's do all we can to make sure our teams can get 10 games plus a long postseason in.

Report Card for the DB game and thoughts on the CC game

OFFENSIVE LINE - D  - The DB defensive front was good, maybe the best OR will face, but the OL did little or nothing with them

WR - D+  - They were bad. Dropped TD passes and dropped other passes too

RB - B  - Hard to grade him because he rarely had a chance to get going. He made a few good runs but nothing great

QB -  D-  - I'm not sure he completed more than 1-2 passes. A few throws were pretty bad and he just looked rattled. The good part of his game was the running. I believe this was a just a hiccup because he is good. I predict a rebound game that will be for the rest of the season.

PUNTERS - B

DEFENSIVE LINE - C - DB ran the ball too easily versus our D

LB - C - Same as DL

DB - B  - Kingsport ran better than they threw

KICKING - A  - We hit a FG and kickoffs were fine

COACHING - D  - It was a loss and if I'm giving a D to a group of players, the coaches are getting one too!

I believe OR will learn from mistakes and be primed and ready for Friday night!

I can remember back in the good ole days that Campbell Country once upon a time beat the poop out of OR.  Those were wonderful memories for those CCHS fans.....well I think it will remain there only memory as OR takes this one 49-14 but not without a 1st half scare...lol

MIF, I’ve never felt anywhere remotely as humiliated as an OR fan as I did that night we lost to CC in 2013. I hope I never have to live through that kind of angst again as a Wildcat fan. Gawd, that was awful.

SS I remember and was like is the end of OR as we have so known the Great History. That was really unbelievable. And I do not think since then CC has not even competed if I can recall.

    • Eagleville hosting shows laziness on the part of the TSSAA and a complete disregard for the appearance of impartiality. Absolutely nothing against EHS. Its not their fault TSSAA is lazy.    I understand EHS staff work the games at Eagleville, and they don’t want to miss the EHS games. However this isn’t rocket science. It would take less than 1 hour to cross-train EHS and RHS volunteers at the opposite sites. If Eagleville (or any host)  makes the tournament, flip their game site and have the volunteers flip sites for the days their school plays at the opposite site. Magically the school’s fans would be present to watch the their kids play and the kids at least lose some familiarity and home field advantage.  It takes almost no effort and is a ~15 minute extra drive.
    • Jason Lambert should be the only choice for the Baseball coaching position.
    • From the stats I found online it looks like Gabe Eddington- .484, 44 total hits, 43 runs scored and 42 stolen bases.Meanwhile, on the mound, the Austin Peay commit had a record of 8-2, while compiling 50 innings pitched with an ERA of 1.82. Carson Parrott - 7-0 overall as a starting pitcher with a 1.41 ERA, 95 strikeouts and a save in 53 and 1/3 innings pitched. Parrott hit .392 with 3 home runs, 21 RBIs with a .566 OBP and .716 SLG. Jaxon Walker - .454, 53 hits, 38 RBI’s, 9 HRs.   Not saying the other three aren’t deserving but Quillen had better BA than all three and was just as dominate pitching.  Like I said I don’t know how you leave off the 3a Baseball player of the year last year when he put up better numbers.  I know Greeneville’s Coach wasn’t happy about it saying “I don’t give a s*** what anybody else says. That kid is the best player in Tennessee, and everybody else on our team rises to his level“.  I’m sure winning another State Championship as a junior is more important to Carson than the individual award, it’s just a head scratcher to not be nominated
