Bledsoe is good this year and I think they win 42-0 and I'll be the one to say this year is between Meigs and Bledsoe for state.

Well this could be a difficult task considering Meigs and Bledsoe would have to play before the state championship.  I would definitely have to watch Bledsoe to get an honest assessment on how they are.  I know Meigs is pretty darn good.

They may make it deep in the playoffs, but I doubt they will be able to run through TC, H2O, or Westy for that matter. They may get two of us, but all three teams mentioned play a different style of defense than they will face all year, so it’s doubtful they can make it through such a tough gauntlet.... especially since this region will have home field advantage in the third round.

I will add that if they do make it through all of us than they will have definitely EARNED  a spot to play for a chance to go to the state championship!

One thing is different this year than years past. It wont be Tyner in the second round. It will either be Bledsoe or Marion. Trousdale will either have Marion or Bledsoe 2nd round. Winner gets H20 if everyone wins as their seeding would indicate. Anyhow not gonna ruin this thread with that stuff. Good luck this week Bledsoe.

I’m with you... Bledsoe is no doubt a really good team, but they have a long row to plow before anyone should be mentioning them in a semifinal game.

I meant no disrespect, just an honest opinion.  I really remains to be seen and I think this Friday's game will give a better insight on how good this Bledsoe bunch is.

One thing is for sure everyone that is talking about state this or state that is not from Bledsoe. We just take it one game at a time. We haven’t earned the right to be mentioned in the same category as the traditional powers.

I will take this as your assumption.. the key games between Bledsoe, Marion and Tyner have yet to be played. Rams still have a chance to have 2nd seed if we beat Marion and Marion loses to Bledsoe..all speculation but we shall see!!

Didn't mean to hi-jack this thread (lol)

    • Did this happen? Does anyone know? Ripley has their HC job posted on the bulletin board over the weekend.
    • Coalfield definitely isn't the same team they've had the past few years. They are still the favorites to make it out of their region because of their pitching. They have 1 arm that sits low to mid 80s and 2 other arms that are mid to high 70s with good off speed stuff. If you can avoid their top 3 bats in their lineup then you have a shot to beat them. Their 4-9 hitters are average at best. Wartburg's ace was able to shut them down last week in the game Wartburg won 4-2.
    • It is the longest season. Plus, 30 games a year. No Christmas break. I would say basketball is the most time consuming.
    • No movement on Chester? South Gibson? Gibson County?
    • Winfree's senior year was the season she needed to secure more college interest. That opportunity was taken away from her. A lot of false assumptions can be made about what happened and what the options are. Unfortunately, the former coach and administration did not allow Winfree to have due process. A lawsuit was filed for a reason, and it will run its course by people who conduct discovery and take depositions. Unless the parties settle out of court, a lot of the pertinent issues will come to the public surface. I wrote about many of the issues here: https://bdnewsletter.news/2023/11/17/grounds-for-investigation-and-suspension/ I interviewed Winfree after she was dismissed from the team and wrote about it here: https://bdnewsletter.news/2023/12/01/a-new-interview-with-sable-winfree/ Winfree had been on teams in Warren County since the fourth grade and never been dismissed from a team. The real questions are why was Winfree dismissed from the team, and why the administration backed a coach whom they did not rehire.
