Then it will take one strong minded head coach to straighten things out. It won't be an overnight miracle either. The powers that be need to step up, quieten down the daddy ball coaches and over protective mothers!

It will take the administration plus town to stand behind a head coach to see change! Until then if mediocrity is what Whitwell will settle for then thats what they will get!

Again, its the young men who want to play who suffer in the end!

Yes its bad going from state champs in 2018 to barely having 24 kid on the team

Mediocrity would be a vast improvement over the present situation.

There is absolutely no reason why Whitwell shouldn’t be playing Pitt twice every year. Everyone in the valley knows that this staff was not the first, second or even third choice.  Meigs exposed some “weaknesses” in Pitt but I don’t think any 1A schools can do it.

They also exposed what not playing for 3 weeks looks like. Bet the game would be even closer if covid hadn't have affected it

I have a feeling you may see some changes and shuffling this week in some spots. At the end of the day it comes down to can you block, tackle, and hold on to the football. That was a good loss for us.

Whitwell won't be in the playoffs this year much less making to the 3rd round.

Yes it was. Not only to get some changes in the works but also for some motivation

    • All high school coaching postions are year to year. At least in public schools.
    • Yes in the regular season. But once Westview's young kids got the experience from the season, they only lost to Dyersburg by a field goal in the playoffs. Westview was young last year. They will be tough this year
    • That is absolutely not the truth.  Few if any college coaches or school administrators want to be in the middle of legal proceedings if there is any way possible to avoid being caught in the middle.  With that being said I have two questions: 1.  Why would a coach remove any player from the team for using the F WORD?  Yes, I fully understand the player must be held accountable for her actions.  Maybe extra running and even a one game suspension but if every kid or coach that used improper language was kicked on the team or fired, they would have no players or coaches available to play the games. 2.  If there was truly another player or coach that witnessed this situation, and they agree with the player then by all means the coach should be held accountable for their actions.
    • 1st round exit?        For real ?!?!?!                     Oh wait.....    are we talking band or football?
    • Assistant football staff still the same? Any replacement for Brian Beaubien? Who will be the DC? Will there be anything going on this spring with football? I go watch practice often.
