Our new District next year...

Upperman

Stone Memorial

Cumberland County

Livingston

Dekalb

Macon

White County

Tough District. I like it. A lot of driving for Macon though.

I would rather go to Macon than Rhea!  Losing that hour was killer!  But this will be a great district.  With several of the best players leaving this year though it should be very competitive top to bottom.   Not alot of easy wins there for sure.  Curious to see how much longer Mr White stays on at Macon Co.   McWilliams vs McWilliams will be interesting too.  :popcorneater:

I was talking more about all of the traveling Macon has to do. It will be about 2 hours to Crossville and Stone each trip.

So with the covid amongst us all how is each team in the District going to do seating for the games this year? I've heard White County is closing up the entire bottom(reserved seats) and only allowing 50 people inside per game.

A good way to keep the players at a distance from the crowd.

White County starts the season off with Tullahoma Tuesday(17th). Tullahoma made it all the way to the substate last year, but i have no idea as to what players they have coming back this season. I hope they stream all of the games year. Go Warriorettes!!!

Not sure what they have this year.  Last year they were very good.  I do know they lost their best player and all time leading scorer.  Julia Duncan is now at Lee University I believe.   I remember WC having a contract with Ben Lomand and nobody could stream games from there except for them.  Hopefully they will make exceptions to that so visiting teams can get streams as well.

Cookeville Lady Cavs win by 20 vs a very athletic Stewart’s Creek team.   SC’s pressure forced a lot of Lady Cav turnovers but the Cavs shot themselves into a big early lead and it was never close after first few possessions.  SC kept it from being a blowout In the second half with a sub off the bench that hit 5 or 6 threes.  She was on fire!  Lots of work to do but it was a good start to the season against a tough opponent.  Next up Cumberland County and Clarkrange on Saturday.  That Clarkrange game has me a little worried. Hard to win in that gym for sure.  But this Cavs team is solid.

    • Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!
    • I would not put too much stock into the UH over Eagleville. From what I understand they were pretty banged up in that tourney. Catcher was out, they were throwing pretty deep in their bullpen and a few key players were beat up in their infield. Sounds like they are pretty healthy heading into the district tournament. Look at their schedule, they played some really good teams.
