5a and 6a just don't have the speed week end and week out  in region 1 to compete with knox teams. They may play with them early in the season but when they are a little banged up at the end they don't have the numbers or the players. It is what it is.

I'm pretty sure Crockett outplayed South Doyle out gained then 315-265. Crockett just made way too many mistakes.

Who won on the scoreboard.  All I was saying was knox teams are used to those kind of games. My son played at Tenn high. They beat Knox central early 2 yrs ago but after playing a region 1 conference schedule compared to a region 2 conference schedule it's different. When u see speed every week compared to Volunteer,Mo East, and Cherokee you don't have to play your best game to beat some teams. I think in knox you can't let up

I know what you're saying. Crockett just had way too many mistakes and only to lose by 7. That no call pass interference when crockett quarterback throwing to Prince and got interception was huge.

The thing about it is  the higher seeded teams up here in 5a are just a few plays away from getting over that hump just like the hump the 4a teams have gotten over . 6a is a pretty big hump though lol.

That is very true and you also have to remember that nobody in NET 5A/6A is that serious about championship football.    Oh sure we always field teams and go out and play and have fun with it, but when the seasons are over with early playoff exits everybody just moves on to basketball or whatever, no big deal.   That will never change, so as NET fans we just have to adjust our expectations and have fun at each game and not get too down when it ends.

Crockett outplayed South Doyle last night except on the scoreboard too many mistakes cost us in the end losing by 7 was great with all the mistakes. What was the score when Boone played them?

48-19, and they could have scored 60 on us if they tried.

I understand that sometimes you out-play a team every way but the scoreboard, same thing happened to us against Elizabethton, just chalk it up to a moral victory and get the basketballs out.....
