How many ADs stand on the side line telling coaches what you need to do

Our athletics director is the only guy that was here the last time we was good.  He done good getting rid of the clowns like you and your boy.  Now that you ain't there and West is at Sycamore we are gonna start winning games again and our boys are gonna get real coaching

What school are you speaking of. Just Sycamore or  them and another?

Please stop posting.  The guy you're attacking is someone I think highly of, have coached alongside, and has held numerous head coaching positions throughout the mid-state for the last 30 years.  He could coach circles around you.

It takes a special person with a great care for kids to coach in Cheatham County.  The accomplishments of coaches like Rick Butler, Terry Arrington, Tommy Tharp, Marshall Winkler, and Cody Finley through the years were very impressive.  They got every ounce of energy out of their teams and won at the state playoff level.  There are so many others that I could put on this list who have coached in the county and gone on to win big in other places.

I hope the Cubs are better this year and expect them to be better this year in Coach Gary Halstead's first real season as coach.  Last year when the season started they had practiced something like 5 times the entire summer/preseason before they were opening against Lewis County.

I think Sycamore is going to be better also.  John Harrison, Dustin West, and KC Littlejohn are all good coaches and they'll play a much more physical style on both sides of the ball this year.

I'm going to miss Harpeth being a part of the region as well.  They fell in classification and really got a rough deal this year being placed in a region that goes east of Nashville and includes the likes of Trousdale County and Watertown.

The new Region 6-3A should be a lot of fun with some highly competitive games the next two years.  It's hard to believe that in 10 weeks everyone will be wrapping up their preseasons and it will officially be Week 1.  I can't wait!

    • RR, you might remember. Didn’t someone hide the kicking shoe that game? It seems I remember we had missed a kick the week before, and we needed all the points we could get. We thought we had a better chance going for two, so $?&@$ hid the shoe after the first miss that game. No one on our sideline looked for it very hard.
    • I will never forget the 1983 Heritage vs Maryville game. I remember driving home and listening to WGAP. Can't remember the announcers name. He asked Coach Story why he kept going for 2? Story told him " Why didn't you ask Renfro that last year"
    • TSSAA will let them all go to Mase.
    • Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!
