Its OK to take 2 years off of a rival game.  I know AE took 2 years off from playing Brainerd but then added them back last year and it's been nothing but love from both sides.   Speaking of AE, I'm hearing AE will be traveling to the Dragons Den this coming season.  UH OH!!

Turtle what happened this year at AE? I hated it that Phillips left. I'm sure they had lost a bunch of kids from the season before to go 0-10. The whole thing has changed over there since the 80's. I went to see a game there 5 years ago and there was less than a hundred people in the AE stands. I couldn't believe it in a lifetime.

Well let me stop you and correct you before I respond to your question.  AE finished 0-8 last year not 0-10 hahaha.  But what happened was, the starting QB went down 1st play of the 2nd quarter of the very 1st game (torn ACL out for the year) .  THat's what happened.  They had to quickly change everything on the offensive side and that didn't go as planned.  They were a VERY VERY young team.  I know that's a bunch of excuses but aye, I'm just telling the truth.  This coming year should be a much better year for AE.  As for as the stands, the community just don't support them as they did back in the Leroy Thompson days but Coach Mays is trying to get the community support back.  One of the things he did last year was get the Baby Roadrunners program back united.  That helped tremendously.  The BR's won 4 of the 7 youth championships last year.

    • Yes this process is moving slower than I would have expected
    • also was told coady auston applied, he served as defensive coordinator for greenfield under don pitt several years ago before going to Obion county
    • TSSAA restrictions for hiring non-faculty coaches have been removed for over a year at this point. In the past a non-faculty person had to be "grandfathered" by being an assistant coach for five years, being fingerprinted, and having a background check run per TSSAA rules... since those were rescinded, the board of directors for the school district are responsible for any/all restrictions on hiring non-faculty personnel. I guess what I'm saying to you is that if you really wanted what you posted, it's already possible as long as your local BOE will allow for it.
    • stop it, rlh. you’re gonna get me all misty eyed and sentimental.    i see seven fairly regularly. ….but slim shady, that’s like spotting bigfoot on main street. you just hope he doesn’t spot you.
    • Are you trying to say you didn't find Seven and ShadySlim going at it?
