Glad you asked. My daughter had a meeting scheduled this morning but got cancelled the last minute.She was so excited about the possibility of having a new coach. I don't know what happened but she is extremely upset.

Would Centurville politics really care about a high school volleyball coach?  Somebody trying to get their mistress the job?  Somebody trying to get their 19 y/o daughter who graduated last year the job?  I soooo wanna hear how local politics gets into the selection of a vball coach.  We need details!

My daughter informed me they still haven't selected a coach. I can not understand why it is taking so long to make a selection. One of the top coaching jobs in the state. I just her spirit hasn't been broken with the delay. As a parent is just breaks my heart.

I am sorry to hear your daughter is upset, we know the feeling on the east end because we change coaches all the time. I think we could also be one of top jobs in state with all the talent we have each year but Centervill politics always come in to play when east might get good and spoil it for us again. Y’all have a good coach in the building that would be good choice but he used to yell to much at them girls and hurt their feelings, but maybe he is older now and learn to settle down a little bit, I wish the best for you in the search even though we are rivals we still live in the same county and a lot of our girls are friends and play travel ball together

My daughter was hoping for the coach you were talking about. I may be bias because my daughter plays for HCHS but I know this team should have won the state tournament at least two times. Being a mom of a high school athlete is frustrating. We have so much talent being wasted.

This is getting insane! My daughter just sent me a text saying no coach was hired last night and wasn't even mentioned at the board meeting. She also said the rumor going around school is they are going to ask Coach Doug True to coach this season. Isn't he like 80 or something? Take a state tournament team and just destroy their hope and dreams. This has gone on long enough! I WANT ANSWERS!

Brentwood had a hard time finding quality candidates when their head coach position opened up this year and they are a nationally ranked program, not just 9 times in a row defending State Champions.  High school vball is not a coaching position teachers move long distances for.

We are not asking someone to move long distances. We have a coach at HCHS now that would be a perfect fit. Of course, we are going to ask some dinosaur that has never coached volleyball. This team could hang a banner with the 97 girls basketball squad. I will find out some answers today! We are not going to have another sleepless night worrying about who the coach could possibly be.

I hope you do find some answers, please keep us posted, I know them girls are ankzious to get started practice....they must have somebody they waiting to give the job too or they would have already made the easy decision to hire from within. My daughters friend saw former HC coach at her school yesterday, don’t know if interviewing or just visiting, would be a shame to lose a good coach  from within building over nothing but good ole Centervil politics

The soap opera continues on as finding a volleyball coach. My daughter informed me kids at school are saying it could be the girl's or boy's basketball coach. I would be fine with that decision because they would bring a passion to the game that my daughter would love. They are young and energetic. Something this programs needs! We can't afford to go back to the stone age.
