Lady landers top unaka 56-44.  Girls are playing great right now.  Should be a real battle Monday night.  Seeding is important.  We need that substate game

I think all 4 region one teams win their first round games…who are the likely substate matchups from the other regions?

They did that with Anderson out most of game due to foul trouble. Them and Cloudland will be tough outs as the postseason continues.

I wouldn’t be suprised if they won it all. Greenfield is another team to keep an eye on.

Coalfield,  sunbright,  possibly Oneida.  They're all good teams but I don't think as good as district 1's top 4. Unaka has a double digit win over Coalfield under their belt.

Imo, Davenport is the best player on that team.  She is a wrecking machine

Agreed. Matchup nightmare since she’s developed a post game and can take you off the dribble and hit the 3.

Imo,  Cloudland is the toughest matchup for north greene.  We have bigger and stronger girls than hampton or unaka and can play some physical defense when we want to.  If we can keep the score in the 40 range,  then I like our chances late in the game.

On another note,  our local news coverage has been atrocious.  Hardly any mention of cloudland's players performance by wjhl.  I get it.  Ramsey is a big deal but we won the game.  And our middle school game with newport got zero coverage.

NG is very good and very well coached…but Hampton has been hit by the flu bug…to their credit they toughed it out,  but to beat a team like NG they have to be at full strength…matchups will be interesting in the Regional Semi’s…because then it’s win or be done…
