What line of work would allow or keep anyone employed with those kind of success rates? If it makes you feel better to say its political then good for you but your "feelings" don't erase the FACTS! Again 7-22 in region play the past 5 years isn't very competitive or good. 1-4 last year! How can it get any worse?

Still waiting for the shrapnel to hit as we advance to the second round....team improved to a 4-1 region record vs a 1-4 record last year. 7-4 overall now. Also beat Mt Juliet last week in the first round by 20. Hosted a playoff game for the first time in 9 years. The programs first win vs a 5A team that finished the season with a winning record since November of 2012! Brand new offense and brand new defense installed 30 days prior to first game. Again still waiting for the shrapnel....

Having a good season doesn't change the fact that this situation was handled very poorly

You claim it was handled poorly, do you have 100% facts or hearsay?

At least they seem to have hired the right replacement, although time will tell Edited November 11, 2021 by MidTennFootball

They have been very competitive in the games they have lost. Obviously a strange way to be named HC but he has exceeded expectations in my eyes. Indy who went to state the two years they were in 5a and summit who went to state the past two years. Also, during the Indy period you had Stewart’s creek, Lavergne, Indy and summit in district. All to which are now 6a and dropped down from 6a then. Sorry but this interim hasn’t done anything that’s special this season bc the combined record of opponents columbia has beaten has a record of 16-46 before playoffs. All this exposure of how columbia has gotten better this year is false advertising. Sorry but I’ve watched columbia play since the 90s and they haven’t been relative till they dropped to 5a then had a good group of players that came through. They are still the same since then. This hype of being the state champs year type of program is far gone. Good year for all the baggage that came with it but it wasn’t bc of the coaching I’m sure. Sorry, but columbia isn’t a program like it was back in 2009 to 2012. Too much hype from people on the radio and around town that don’t know football very well. Didn't see any posters compare this Columbia team to their State Title team. Fact is the new coach took over very close to the start of the season. Many folks agree that given the circumstances, the Lions were coached well and were very competitive. Who is your team and how did they do this season?
