Sorta the same with the Freedom Prep/Mitchell game.   Except it never was scored as a Thursday game, only after the fact when the game had already been completed.   At least last night I saw the Montgomery Central/Pearl Cohn game on the CoachT scoreboard.

This is a sticky point in how the games will/should count.  Coach may have to change the rules and say picks must be in Thursday  for all games including Friday.  Otherwise there will always be a game or two that some will miss out on.

Whatever Coach decides is fine with me.  I'm having fun playing the game.

Thanks Wildcard1,  a top 20 would be nice.

Your only 1 below the top 20 so, it's very possible! Good Luck!

Hope everyone got to make your picks today. I had set the ending date for the contest to be Oct 29th, thinking that meant at midnight on the 29th but apparently it meant midnight last night. Fixed it at 4PM CDT today. Also, our Spectrum internet in this area was out until 4PM today. When it rains...

The playoff contest will begin as soon as I have all of the games entered. May be Sunday before I get it all done. Much depends on how soon the TSSAA has the brackets posted.

I sincerely hope everyone gets to make their picks today.

Congratulations FireFirstAce! Not only did you make the top 20, you almost made the top 10! Great comeback!

Thank you kindly.

I attribute a lot of that to people taking more risks at the end.

I did have a good finish.

Went 15-3 for the week.

In games <8 went 4-2 for the week.   27-24 yr. :|

I had a top 4 finish last year in the 2020 reg season, along with a top 4 finish in 2019 playoffs.  If memory serves me.  Sometimes it does.

I have a couple dogs starting the contest for the playoffs.

Thanks @CoachT

I have 2 dogs for week 1 of the playoffs too. I usually have a tougher time during the playoffs contest! We'll see I guess! Good Luck!

    • Never said I thought it was a smart decision. I'm scratching my head at it too.
    • If he wanted to play QB he should have either went to Heritage or William Blount and had a real good chance there. In stead he'll be exactly what he was going to be at Maryville. They already know who their QB is going to be in 2025 and it ain't going to be him.
    • Easier said than done. The man who ran for 250+ yards and 3TDs is gonna be back….and a lot bigger.
    • plus it removes the pressure around winning.
    • You are correct.   The teacher's pay scale is virtually the same in Knox County, now, as it is at Oak Ridge.   The coaching supplements are still higher at Oak Ridge, from what I was told, but not a huge difference.   Plus, Rusty is going from a position coach to an OC position, which is what he was at South Doyle and where his comfort zone is.  And from a special education teaching slot to a PE teaching slot.  There is a lot of positivity in that move without even considering the coaching aspect.   Anybody who sees something negative here is just looking for negativity to begin with.  But some live in that world.   Really good hire for Brent.  He now has two experienced and quality coordinators and can concentrate on being a head football coach.
