A Macon County Elementary School has a Westmoreland Address. Most of Western Macon County has either a Westmoreland or Hartsville Address.

What county do they live in? Over half the people I know from “Westmoreland” live in Macon County. The difference in taxes between Sumner and Macon is ridiculous.

Dont get your panties in a wad. Im just having fun. Those 2 boys have grew up with my son. Zach took a many of snaps from my son at qb. I have alot of vested interest in them 2. Lol

In the Red White and Blue rivalry game, anything can happen. Westy has a pretty decent squad this go around. This game will be close and hoping the Tigers come out on top but the Eagles could very well win as well.

The two twins had a good showing last Friday night. Both are starting on defense and Gabe is making a impact on the offensive side of the ball as he had a receiving td and a 75 yard rushing touchdown against East Rob.

I am not upset just genuinely interested where they live, since I no longer live there. I have always found Westmoreland HS to be in a bad location. 1/2 of the people live in Macon because it’s much cheaper, and Sumner County has 7 high schools and quite frankly cares very little about little ole Westmoreland. It’s hard to compete with all of that.

I would agree about some of that. We just built a new fieldhouse and had to get 5 people to sign the note to get the money. We take pride in our program though. We do what we have todo to make things as nice for the kids as we can make it even without the counties help.

As far as the twins go they live out around the rocky mound area. It would have cost a lot of money to send them to westmoreland after they changed the rules a few years back. Like $3000 per kid. I think alot of those 2 kids. Great kids and athletes. I love to aggrivate them about wearing blue. This week will be a special week for my son. The rivalry is bigtime!

      Honestly the A.D. may be powerless at Maryville to some degree versus other schools. I know he has his hands full with GoFan and all the stupid surprises just from the emails he sends out during the season.

      Harriman was better than what I anticipated. They had good skill guys and a QB that’s gonna make a lot of teams look silly. They had some silly pre snap penalties but it’s just spring and I guess that’s expected.    Oneida looks the part. They are big upfront and got a stable of backs that’s gonna carry them this year. They have a few playmakers at receiver also. They have a new receiver that has only played basketball till this year and he is very athletic. The question is can we find a QB to consistently get them the ball. They played 2-3 kids there and none looked great but they didn’t look awful either. The  defense is gonna be tough again but it’s very early and a lot can change between now and the fall.     It was good just to get out and watch some ball. I don’t know if Oneida has the team to win the region this year but just what I saw tonight I think they may be in the conversation come November.
