so you want to go back on lockdown?  How did that work out for the country?  The regular flu kills people also.  It's time to move on.

I want to go back to the choice of virtual learning. My kid isn't in school now but I would like to see that option for the parents of kids that are currently enrolled.

Please clarify

Last year kids could do remote learning instead of being in the school building. Most of our players did that to keep from being around everyone and potentially contracting the virus. Gov Lee will not allow that this year and as of Wednesday said he had no plans to do that in the future. If there is an outbreak local districts can go to remote learning but those kids cannot participate in any extracurricular activities. (at least in our district. I assume it's the same in other counties).

I like that option better than what we have this year. It was better for any kid that "wanted" to go that route.

Mine chose not to because he was a senior and wanted to experience his last year actually at school. I appreciated the option to do that too. It seems this time around kids are more susceptible to catching this so I just wish that option was available again. There will be some seasons that end because of it.

I agree with you about seasons ending and it's unfortunate.

We should do what Hamilton has done. We can declare a state of emergency based on the high number of students out at each school. Then you can go virtual….I’ve been told.

That's interesting. Also the second time I've heard that.

Would the kids be able to play sports? The way I understood it was our school system wouldn't allow it. If they can I'm sure a lot would go that route.

    • Never in my life have I seen a team in a scrimmage against their own defense look so lost and confused. The defense didn’t look much better, the coaching staff can’t keep their anger together, not only with the players but also with their other coaches. I feel awful for those players. None of them look like they wanted or should’ve been out there, but for the grown men on the sidelines acting like fools, it's just embarrassing to the Farragut name and reputation. I now see why they chose not to live stream this on their YouTube channel.
    • We could sure use some math teachers country wide. Ever go into a store or restaurant and the bill comes to $9.97 and you give them a ten dollar bill and 2 pennies because you wanted a nickle back and then the meltdown starts and the next thing two more people have to come and help figure it out and the place comes to a complete halt. I see this everyday and it's a sad representation of all these schools allowing these kids out the door to get shortchanged the rest of their life.
    • I like the Pirates chances. I’ll be there as soon as work allows.
    • Stars, I heard we were searching far and wide for some math teachers. Any chance their kids bench press or 40 times are getting checked? LOL I’ve heard good things from 825.
    • I think it was expected. “Bad” luck I guess to get a couple difference maker QBs in the same class. I thought the decision was made a little early myself, but they were struggling offensively last year.  I assume the running quarterback alco had last year would be a senior this fall, and the transfer would start the following two years in addition to getting a ton of playing time this year. Maybe he waits two yrs, but I doubt it. The kid is good. So is the one who stayed.
