Not sure what the fuss is about on the kid from City's knee being down?  The replay clearly shows his hand only touching the ground. Definitely a touchdown!  I laugh at this about the refs cheating and home cooking for City. City is probably the most penalized team in the state. A lot of it is their own doing as they are not the most discipline team in the state but they get questionable calls every week and it seems everytime they break for a long gain or touchdown, the laundry comes out to take it away. I was pleasantly surprised they got the illegal block in the back or whatever the call was on the touchdown that would have won the game for the Bees as City appears to never get the calls in most all of their games.

Wasn't the knee, it's the elbow. Uppercumberlandreporter on fb...watch and you can see it clearly. I rewatched the game and a few calls were very questionable , some on both sides. Let the players decide the outcome.

Any Offensive player that is on his line of scrimmage and inside the 5 yard zone at the snap may block below the waist, clip, or block in the back while ingaging a defender. Any Defensive player that is on his line of scrimmage and inside the zone is subject to this block. A player cannot leave the zone and return to block in the back or below the waist. A player already engaged can't not be blocked below the waist by another opponent.

The kids knee being down was a call that could have went either way. Not really upset about that as much as the phantom block in the back on an interior lineman?????  How often have you ever seen that call in a game?  Like 0.00001% of the time in a game.  Add on the touchdown by Harris from the 1 yard line. On the video it clearly shows Upperman pushing  the D-line into the end zone and Harris diving over.

It's very called cause it's not an illegal block

    • I believe that was last year. I was interested in the Jones vs Baker comment, so I went back and looked at GC. I am not a fan of either nor am I a baseball guru. This looks like to me the duel was not close and if the errors would not have been made Eagleville would have won. I assume you are a little biased. I do think your mph for Jeffcoat and Baker must be from last year.  Baker-85 pitches 67 strikes. 5.2 innings, 5H, 1BB, 0ER and 7K's. 3 errors  Jones- 78 pitches 37 strikes. 4 innings, 2H, 5BB, 0ER and 1K. 1 error   Adams and the UH kid are really good as well. What about South Pitt and Oakdale? I heard they have some good ones.
    • I hate this for all the kids in the program and fans alike. I can't recall of anything like this before in my lifetime but I'm sure it isn't a first. After criminal investigations are complete and the TSSAA looks into this the program it will be facing Nuclear Winter for some time to come. It's always the innocent left behind that end up paying the price for something someone else has done. I'm sure the transfer portal will be very active in Clinton over the summer months. How could you find a good coach worth his salt that would take on a situation like this not knowing what will happen.
    • I’ve seen Jeffcoat in person twice and he was 84-87 both times and the one time I saw Baker he was low 80’s, he actually got out dueled by Jones from ER in that outing.
