Cascade was just so overrated. Including by most Forrest fans. Notice Salem is AWOL. Sometimes the General knows what he's talking about.  I do think Forrest was much sharper mentally.

Sometimes games like that actually help, even though it sucks at the time. Good luck on the rest of your season.

Haha yeah, The road is about to get pretty rough for Meigs in a few weeks. We will see where we stand or fall soon enough.

Nailed it. His region picks for the week are below.  Overrated by who?  Nobody in this region has been overrated by anyone since the TSSAA put it together. It's mediocre group of teams based on their 2020 records and their non region performances this year. As stated earlier in the thread this Cascade team is better than last year's 5-6 team and this QB is as good as last seasons. If you watch the game sober you should agree. #3 is a player. He kept them in the game single handedly. 6'0" 200 pound QB had close to 150 yards rushing with minimal blocking and bounced three passes off of his receiver's hands while running for his life. He also played every snap on defense at linebacker. 

For all the talk of Cascade's awfulness it was a 7-0 at the end of the 3rd quarter until #9 had a great punt return. The game was 14-7 with 5 minutes to play. IMO, Cascade doesn't have 4 players who could start for Forrest. This game should have been over in the 2nd quarter but we had to fight til the end. Seems like we say this every week.

Seriously though big win for playoff seeding. Lots to work on in the bye week but great effort from the players, another solid performance from the defense, and special teams were clutch. You have to love coach kicking a chip shot field goal to go up by 2 scores late in a game. #9 showed why he needs the ball in his hands in space. It was the only time he got the ball in space the entire game.  We need to send a thank you card to the Cascade coaches for kicking it to him because we can't get him the ball in space on offense. Forrest had great field position all night long because of the defense but continued to flounder on offense.  Congrats on what was a huge step towards a region championship and home field advantage. 

Refs were a little on the elderly side but I'm glad we had some. Some of the most blatant penalties you will ever see didn't get a flag. And the ref on the sideline didn't even try to run with the QB on the 80 yd TD. He just walked down 15 secs later and signaled TD.

 If by pulling it off you mean taking a game you should have been up enough to put your JV in and play the 4th quarter and instead were only up 14-7 with 5 minutes to go then yes he pulled it off.
