The patriots host the Hardin Valley hawks coming into town. Any thoughts on how this one will play out?

Since the Gunn kid graduated from HVA after 2019 season, they have gone 16 games without scoring more than 21 points. Hard times in the Valley. Jeff Co 30 HVA 7

The Patriots have a tough team with a superstar in the making...SOPH QB slinger! Lookout for this team the rest of this season and the next 2 for sure! Without a doubt, Jeff County will be the favorite in Region 1 6A next season.

I think Jeff Co will take advantage of the momentum they have going into this game. I would typically say that you should expect a let down after the big win up at Dobyns-Bennett. I bet Joey is still sick about that one. I have viewed some footage on HVA this year and they just don't have the foot speed or bodies up front to get much done. Their defense is not sound and their offense lacks creativity. I think they are well-coached fundamentally but need to clean up schematics if they have any chance salvaging that program.

How in the world is HVA that bad? Terrible on both sides of the ball. Jeff spent all last week hearing about how good they were, crapped the bed for the first quarter and a half and still lead 21-7 at half. 42-7 final and could have been 63-7

HVA is definitely struggling for the last couple seasons. I think they have trouble with getting kids to buy in.

I sat on their side during the HVA/Farragut JV game last week and all you heard was complaints about the coaches, the entire game. Ironically, I was sitting on their side  to escape having to listen to the Farragut parents complain about their own coaches but it was another level with HVA. 
 

i think everyone at HVA is just kinda stick. The football culture, the buy in, heck, even getting kids to come play needs work ASAP

Nice post and feel for you. It’s tough on parents to sometimes realize it’s not the X’s and O’s but it could be, just could be the Billy’s and Joe’s.
