Nope. Catholic didn't pay for the game, I've been told that the TV guy is paying both schools to make it happen.  He's apparently opened a big can of worms for himself as now other schools want  bigger payout to allow him to come and broadcadt.

Incorrect. Catholic did agree to split the ticket gate with Powell in order to secure the game. Packer is also giving a cut of the profits to both institutions.

So whether you realize it or not you just confirmed what I posted.

The TV guy is paying both schools to play the game on his broadcast. It wasn't going to happen otherwise.

And this game is at Powell.  There is no gate split. It's a Powell home game.

For a guy who refers to himself as a Czar you aren't very much aware of reality.

do you need me to explain how a split gate works? it can be a powell home game and still have an agreed split gate in order to generate revenue streams in both years of the scheduling process. c'mon slick, you losing a step!

    • While I appreciate being credited with multiple accounts, I have to say that is not true. Will you please report back to your people that I am not someone who provides sharp, witty banter, but rather someone who is putting the shoe on the other foot for some people that have been repeatedly bashing others here and in real life for the past few years? Everything that I have stated has been backed by factual evidence or public record, so no need to be sharp and witty.
    • Yes this process is moving slower than I would have expected
    • also was told coady auston applied, he served as defensive coordinator for greenfield under don pitt several years ago before going to Obion county
    • TSSAA restrictions for hiring non-faculty coaches have been removed for over a year at this point. In the past a non-faculty person had to be "grandfathered" by being an assistant coach for five years, being fingerprinted, and having a background check run per TSSAA rules... since those were rescinded, the board of directors for the school district are responsible for any/all restrictions on hiring non-faculty personnel. I guess what I'm saying to you is that if you really wanted what you posted, it's already possible as long as your local BOE will allow for it.
    • stop it, rlh. you’re gonna get me all misty eyed and sentimental.    i see seven fairly regularly. ….but slim shady, that’s like spotting bigfoot on main street. you just hope he doesn’t spot you.
