Sad thing is injuries are apart of the game. When I played injuries wiped out close to half the opening day starting lineup  to what it was the very last game played in the playoffs losing to a team we had actually beat in regular season and lost in overtime in the finals only to watch that team win the state the following week in a runaway game so I know the pain.

Luckily he has a lot more football ahead of him after high school. Overall he was pretty lucky it happened right before this game. He probably would have missed 2-3 games if it happened any other time.

Very unlucky if I do say. I know he walked into a mess when he got here and maybe rattled some cages with the county of the horrible conditions the whole stadium and locker rooms were in. Lot of great upgrades in the past few years which were long overdue. All that needs upgraded now is the football program itself after 14 straight losing seasons with only 36 wins which 12 have been to Heritage and 7 to Lenior City. The biggest win for this program was to a 6-6 Kingsport team at their place in 2016. I'm sort of lost for words after the last two loses, HVA and Mo East are just horrible as it gets and here we set 1-9 with a lot of extra miles on our cars going to see the same thing as last year but even worse.

    • Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!
    • I would not put too much stock into the UH over Eagleville. From what I understand they were pretty banged up in that tourney. Catcher was out, they were throwing pretty deep in their bullpen and a few key players were beat up in their infield. Sounds like they are pretty healthy heading into the district tournament. Look at their schedule, they played some really good teams.
