The Pirates really came to play tonight while displaying a glimpse of their potential when playing as a focused team. Congratulations to the players & coaches, absolutely the best performance to date. Those close to the program know / realize the challenges & distractions this team has battled through to this point.  Celebrate today & then refocus on a very good Gordonsville team coming to town with plans to end your season!  On another very important point, it is embarrassing to see the stands showing the appearance of a visiting Lookout Valley team! Who ever is in charge of allowing streaming the game next week need to put an end to that! The Gordonsville game will be the last home game of the season, so get your azzes out of the recliner and support the team by filling the stands up! GO PIRATES

Lol double the yards of clay and 140 of those yards came on two plays for them... I'm not sure what film to you watched but it should have been alot worse  if Gville scored inside the 10 ...  With that said, I do agree, SP will be an uphill climb... Kelly is faster than Claiborne at TC and they struggled to contain him.

Just messing with ole enthusiast sir! But yes, Kelly is a stud!

    • RR, you might remember. Didn’t someone hide the kicking shoe that game? It seems I remember we had missed a kick the week before, and we needed all the points we could get. We thought we had a better chance going for two, so $?&@$ hid the shoe after the first miss that game. No one on our sideline looked for it very hard.
    • I will never forget the 1983 Heritage vs Maryville game. I remember driving home and listening to WGAP. Can't remember the announcers name. He asked Coach Story why he kept going for 2? Story told him " Why didn't you ask Renfro that last year"
    • TSSAA will let them all go to Mase.
    • Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!
