Thanks & they are young with a lot of freshman & Sophomores starting, hopefully  we can get back to Vikings football! I told a poster that we wouldn’t get beat by 42 points & we were in it until the end, the interception for TD hurt but that’s how it goes. Viking basketball starts tomorrow at Dyersburg jamboree!!!!

Yes it did hurt but LC also had a poor pass play returned for a td.Plus LC is undisciplined at times. Was driving.Had a 3rd and 8 and LC player gets penalized 15 yards I guess for running his mouth and makes it about and 3rd and 23.Then LC runs the ball for about 14 yards.Would had a first down had that not happened. Then with about 3 min left,LC called for pass interference. LC doesn't turn to look for the ball. Then Humboldt has a 4th and 9 at the 9 yard line.LC stops the Vikings but a LC player called for roughing the passer .Stupid play. The pass was way out of the way to being caught.LC buckles down on defense.Holds Humboldt for 3 plays and on 4th and 9,watch Humbolt run to left side untouched for td.So a few things happened last night was LC being undisciplined.Big number 75 is a hoss.Number 8  played well.If LC can't stop the pass from other team at the line of scrimmage, going to be in trouble.

I know.Hes a stud.Humboldt has really improved and didn't quit.Think LC only has 5 seniors.Qb is a soph.Day Day #2 a junior,Mullins #7 a soph running back.Chamberlain#5,is another freshman running back that had his way against Humboldt middle last year.Should be some good games in next few seasons. Most linemen will be back and hoping for a surprise after Christmas but am mum for now.Anyway.Humboldt has things moving in right direction.

Your surprise would be nice but I have my doubts. LC did not play well at all. Not taking anything from Humboldt but this game should not have been close at all.

I'm reflecting on the season.Read texts from True falcon,Tiptoe,Shocker leaving during the game the other night. We all think LC is a year away.We know they aren't the team from Tanner Snyder and Company.Thinking about the coaching record you talked about .Any Single A team would lose to Haywood and Trenton. He has a good record. But let's reflect.Im sure he's had it tough losing help. But in all those wins,I'm curious, has he beaten a true top 5 team.Or really a true top 10 team.West Carroll may have been ,record wise.Didnt play Greenfield and I think they were close to top 5 a couple years ago.But we saw that was only cause of their record. We know teams get voted on their records, thus Middle College being ranked and LC losing to Only a single A ,3peat Trenton power,Haywood and Union City.Im curious to see how many games, the LC posters think LC has played really well this year.To me,Trenton for 1 half.Could say Fulton Co and Bluff City but we know they couldn't have beaten a middle school team.I know LC has talent. But I'm curious, hom many games does the LC faithful think LC has played well.

LC has not played a complete 4 qtr game this season. Too often they seemed unmotivated and undisciplined. In week 13 of a season you'd expect the small things to have been corrected. Coach Quinn has done well given the situation he has been placed in since his arrival. COVID and a lack of assistance has been an issue for him. LC has just had more athletic ability than the other traditional 1A teams.  Personally I'd like to see more discipline, stop being so conservative especially when you get a small lead, and more utilization of all the skill players.  The future is definitely bright for the Falcons given what they have returning.  LC has the ability to play with Trenton and could even sneak out of there with a win this Friday but they must play a complete, mistake free, and discipline game. Running power all night will not do it.  Open the play book up and make adjustments when needed.  I'm still positive about our program and it's future.  Everyone knows who I am so I'm just stating facts as I see them and not "hiding behind a screen name". Hope to see all of you Falcon faithful in Trenton Friday.

Here is my thing with opening things up. LC has struggled to throw the ball all season. The passing game is very, very inconsistent. A team must establish an identity. LC identity should be running the ball with few passes mixed in. LC to many times will be running the ball and then try an throw a pass and that seems to kill drives. Penalties are a big issue with this team and discipline is another big problem right now. LC plays with little emotion and passion. That's not all on coaching. You are in the playoffs and should be able to motivate yourself. Some seem to have the attitude that they can just show up and win. That's why LC plays down to the competition. All of you who want to throw the ball around must not be watching the same games I am. I agree get the ball to the playmakers but do it in the run game because the pass game just isn't working right now. LC has top 10 talent but hasn't played up to that this season at all. Coach Quinn is in his 2nd year and has dealt with more than most coaches. He is also still learning as he goes. He has no benefit of having an experience assistant coach to help him. Bigster tell who he was supposed to beat that he hadn't? Maybe Union City that's all I can think of. Fayetteville was the only other team that he could have beat and he had us right in that game until the very end.

I agree with your points. I'm not saying opening up the passing game is the way to go because it's definitely inconsistent. I'm saying pounding the middle every single play isn't gonna win big games.  However, I do disagree with the lack of motivation and discipline not being on the coach. It is directly in his hands. He controls the field and sidelines. I know he has his hands full but you gotta demand those aspects.  The senior leadership should be demanding that too.

I am not saying that some of it is not on him but the seniors and the rest should be accountable too. That sideline and crowd was dead last Friday night. A coach can only motivate so much the kids also have to get into it. The unsportsmanlike penalties are driving me crazy. No excuses for them at all. It's simple keep your mouth shut. The false start penalties are also driving me mad. You know what the snap count is. No excuse for a false start. 1 every once awhile I get not 4 or 5 a game. Unsportsmanlike penalties should never happen. That is on the player to keep his emotions in check. LC has too many of these type penalties. The kids on the sidelines need to be into the game supporting their teammates. Friday night it was like a funeral home on the sidelines. The crowd was no better. I really think LC overlooked Humboldt and it almost caught them. LC seems to do alot of this for some reason. LC has not played a complete game this season at all. LC has played down to the competition in almost every game that they should of blown out the opponent. Outside of UC, Peabody and Haywood, LC should have mercy ruled every other opponent on the schedule. It is the coaches job to motivate and prepare his team but the kids should be excited about playing the game and help with the motivation.

    • Hmmmmm……doe dee doe doe….i drove the lawnmower down to practice today…….hmmmm…… we got some new faces………. One can run faster than my lawnmower in fifth gear…… a few will be disappointed come November that they jumped ship and went down to that sewage facility……. You can bet the lawnmower on that.
    • I don't know what's going on in the town of McMinnville, but I've read this and it's disturbing.  I'm a "player" person, and I want what's best for the player. If a player gets cut off the team because she said the "F word" then good grief. I mean, come on guys. I wish there was a way for the player to transfer to a different program and just play ball. There are a lot of athletes that are stuck because they're in crappy situations regarding their team/coach. This is player just happens to be one them.
    • Won't happen. College coaches will back the coach every time and it cost this young lady her senior season. Looks like the player may be right on this one. School let her  go after one season. This stuff happens more than you think.
    • “No college is going to offer a scholarship to a player that is kicked off of the team.” For language? I’m not seeing that as a dealbreaker.
    • Why did the coach get rehired after she was let go as an assistant by the former Warren County coach and the current AD?? Is that accurate?? I am very familiar with situations like this. Suprised lawsuits haven't happend before. If the coach unfairly let the player go, I think she has a shot because it cost her a scholarship. No college is going to offer a scholarship to a player that is kicked off of the team. Not going to happen. There are bad hires like this a bunch and kids are treated unfairly by coaches that can't coach a lick and have super long ropes somehow. Amazing how some of these coaches get hired and keep their job.
