@Yeti has not posted since the TC loss. After two losses to Peabody, I am sure they thought this was their year. That loss hit them hard.  Understandably.

Talked to my Meigs connection. They expected to win. Moving forward they have a good solid group of players and coaches. Meigs will be there again next year is the word.

I guess the question is will Fitz hang around if the talent pool has dried up?

Meigs will be graduating some good Seniors, but they've done that for the last 4-5 years. The program has far from dried up, but we'll have to see how some of the new guys develop in the weight room and in Spring practices/scrimmages. Fitz loves it at Meigs so it's very doubtful if he's interested in going elsewhere.  He's turned down some lucrative offers in the past, and he has a Sophomore daughter at Meigs who's a phenomenal softball pitcher.

Meigs will be decent this year should contend for the region, but I'm not sure we will be deep playoff team. We should have a better overall line this year the way I understand it. We have alot of skill players still around but this is the first time I'm not sure who will be playing where. I expect alot of position changes this year and we will likely be more run heavy than normal.

    • TSSAA restrictions for hiring non-faculty coaches have been removed for over a year at this point. In the past a non-faculty person had to be "grandfathered" by being an assistant coach for five years, being fingerprinted, and having a background check run per TSSAA rules... since those were rescinded, the board of directors for the school district are responsible for any/all restrictions on hiring non-faculty personnel. I guess what I'm saying to you is that if you really wanted what you posted, it's already possible as long as your local BOE will allow for it.
    • stop it, rlh. you’re gonna get me all misty eyed and sentimental.    i see seven fairly regularly. ….but slim shady, that’s like spotting bigfoot on main street. you just hope he doesn’t spot you.
    • Are you trying to say you didn't find Seven and ShadySlim going at it?
    • hey goat! how’s monterey looking this year?!
    • several people actually. they said “snoball, do you know who railbird81 is on coacht?” I said, “never heard of her.” they said, “you ought to check it out they’re getting fired up on there like the old days.” well, you can imagine my disappointment when I came here expecting sharp, witty banter and all i found was more akin to toddlers slap fighting. and what looks like 1 guy/gal talking to themselves with multiple accounts.
