There’s still a lot to be decided in district 3. If Sweetwater can go to Central next week and win they will have the one seed rapped up. But 2-4 there’s a lot that can happen. Meigs has to go to Kingston and play Central at home next week, it’s going to come down to the last week to decide it all.

District 4 is shaping up much like D-3 because if Tyner can win @ Brainerd on Friday, then the "Rams'' will be #1 seed. Our 2-4 will be determined by the hungrier of the 3(in my opinion it's looking like Polk. Only question is how they play away from Benton).

Listened to the Sweetwater/Central game and it was close all the way thru 3 quarters. Central led by 2 points at the half and end of 3rd qtr.(22-20) & (33-31). Sweetwater had a great 4th qtr. and won by 5 securing the Regular season District 3 #1 seed.

After tonight’s games it’s pretty simple for Meigs, beat Center Friday and they will be the two seed.

Sweetwater 8-0

Meigs 6-3

Central 5-3

Kingston 3-4

Tellico 2-5

Loudon 0-9

District 4 as of 2/2/2022:

Tyner 5-1 (Brainerd, CSAS)

CSAS 4-2 (Polk, Tyner)

Polk 4-3 (CSAS)

Brainerd 3-3 (Tyner, Marion)

Tyner/Brainerd game has been rescheduled for Saturday.

A couple of things can happen with our seeding. Tyner must win at least 1 of the last 2 (for the #1 seed). CSAS/Polk should determine the #2/#3 seed. If Brainerd, Polk and CSAS have 5-3 records, it would go to the tie-breaker for seeding.

CSAS(4-2) beat Polk(4-4) last night 52-48 securing the 2/3 seed. When the CSAS/Brainerd game is played, that should clear it up in District 4.

    • It is what it is. Sorry DFL.
    • One of the biggest loosing teams in Mid-State are the Macon County Tigerettes. I have noticed that the roster is smaller than in the years past. All the senior's have quit. We have a great group of Jr High players coming up. I sure hope they don't loose them, like they have lost so many others this year. With this young group of girls coming up, a weaker district, they should have no problem going to State.
    • It was updated this season, because I did it.  Linder is the school's all-time leading rusher at 5,156 yards with 2,436 of those coming in 2014.
    • Oh, I’m sure you did. Maybe you heard just a rumor, but considering we have a football practice field and a soccer field that’s frequently used for lacrosse games and practices, I highly doubt it. Let me change that. I know for a fact that didn’t happen.   Glad you finally stopped attacking a bunch of high school students, but still obsessed with the coaching staff for some unknown reason, even though you could name more than three (at most) coaches without looking it up. But now come up with something else.
    • You really mean the Price twin boys and Lyin Larry.
