With all of the talent OR has, I thought 10-0 was possible. We could've beaten Bearden, Farragut isn't as good as normal, Greenville isn't as good as last year, Powell isn't as good as last year, DB lost a lot of starters...and I picked OR to win 31-21...not a blowout.

When you say DB, do you mean Dobyns-Bennett? Because the Indians lost what 2 starters from last year?…which was a very young team that still beat OR on the road. The Indians have everyone back this season and are much better than last season, no comparison. The game prob will be a blowout. Make it 3 in a row for DB. Will OR sign up to play their Rivals from the East for the next 2 seasons is the real question other than..will Oak Ridge ever be THE Oak Ridge again?

I stand corrected you were the better team and obviously better coached.

Good for you G-Daddy for being a stand up guy after your "out there" prediction that was fairly disrespectul to Farragut.   While the score ended up looking like a blowout for Farragut, it really wasn't.  Farragut is the better team, but it was OR mistakes that made things look worse than they were for OR.   Good luck to the Cats the rest of the way.

I just assumed this because of the Bearden game and having inside information. I was mistaken i'll do my best it doesn't happen again.

    • A lot of people don’t realize how valuable JMO was. QB, safety, punter and holder on pat’s. Kid did it all. I fully believe if he was healthy Dburg would have made it to the ship last year.
    • If Dyersburg quarterback who is also starting safety hadn’t got hurt it would of another blowout
    • For perspective the county school I’m associated and graduated from only has 7,600 people in the entire county with a median age of roughly 47. That’s not very many 14-18 year olds to choose from. I think the football team had 25-28 kids or around there.  On the other hand Shelby County has 916,000+ with a median age of 36. This isn’t just about Shelby county, but all the big ones with huge economic advantages!  An urban/rural split would benefit tons of smaller schools that have to compete with counties with 120x the amount of people. Especially the ones who can pick and choose their players from a pool like that!   I also agree with Pujo about charter and magnets and they will eventually be phased into the private divisions because it is obviously an advantage plus all the funding! Add that county schools can’t go recruit outside of their county like charters and magnets!
    • They should be starting next week and go from there.  They never do Spring Practice in April
