Haywood @ Milan

Great game Haywood! Didn’t see that coming, but glad it happened. I have a question for the Milan folks, and I am being sincere when I ask this. Is Milan glad with their decision to play up in class 4a in our region or do they regret that decision? Do they wish they would have stayed in 3a? Also, when realignment comes up will Milan elect to go back to 3a or stay in 4a?

Great game across the bored i think we may flirted with close to 500 yards tonight if not more

I wouldn't be surprised.  I loved the goal line stand and the 99 yd TD drive.  I think Coach Carr made a huge mistake when he decided to go for it on 4th down early in the game.

Milan should move down...decision to move up to 4A when their numbers were only 10 away from 2A was a big mistake...new numbers coming would have them moving back to 3A and they'll be on the borderline of maybe going 2A....that's where they belong...

I thought Haywood could win, but I never expected a beat-down like this. Now I’m feeling sorry for my Chargers having to face this same Tomcat squad later in the season.

We had better make hay while the sun shines, as my dad used to say - I.e. get some wins before we have to face the 4A behemoth in the county to our east.

Congrats, Tomcats.

Well said sir. It looks like Haywood is the monster most thought they were.... Sheww.. Milan has a good team. They really do. They had some kids out tonight that play a good part of what they do there, but this score pretty much makes a statement. You do not want to see the Tomcats on your schedule....

Congrats to the Tomcat on the convincing victory tonight.

    • I believe that was last year. I was interested in the Jones vs Baker comment, so I went back and looked at GC. I am not a fan of either nor am I a baseball guru. This looks like to me the duel was not close and if the errors would not have been made Eagleville would have won. I assume you are a little biased. I do think your mph for Jeffcoat and Baker must be from last year.  Baker-85 pitches 67 strikes. 5.2 innings, 5H, 1BB, 0ER and 7K's. 3 errors  Jones- 78 pitches 37 strikes. 4 innings, 2H, 5BB, 0ER and 1K. 1 error   Adams and the UH kid are really good as well. What about South Pitt and Oakdale? I heard they have some good ones.
    • I hate this for all the kids in the program and fans alike. I can't recall of anything like this before in my lifetime but I'm sure it isn't a first. After criminal investigations are complete and the TSSAA looks into this the program it will be facing Nuclear Winter for some time to come. It's always the innocent left behind that end up paying the price for something someone else has done. I'm sure the transfer portal will be very active in Clinton over the summer months. How could you find a good coach worth his salt that would take on a situation like this not knowing what will happen.
    • I’ve seen Jeffcoat in person twice and he was 84-87 both times and the one time I saw Baker he was low 80’s, he actually got out dueled by Jones from ER in that outing.
    • Pirate fans, thread is up on the baseball message board.
