This is what Class 2A could look like. I had no idea where some of the schools are exactly located. Plus, the way TSSAA did the districts the last time, I could be way off base.

At the administrators meeting this week, the TSSAA announced that all enrollment numbers are in and they are waiting for the state to verify those numbers.  That should take a few days to get that don

Be interesting to see where Huntingdon is. Dyersburg I think will be AAA looks like. I don’t think they are unhappy either. You got South Gibson and South Side going East and you dodge Gibson County,

Mean while, you have 3A and 4A scrambling to get 4 teams in a district. Just don't make sense.

I think if you just swap Ripley and Liberty that could be the districts in 13 & 14.  They could send Ripley to one of the Memphis districts too.  Memphis could get three districts again.  Two four team districts and one with 5 teams if Ripley moves in.  Who knows with the TSSAA?

I only county 75 teams there. So looks like a few missing. I know Union City is missing.

That was my exact thoughts too Rage. With the new classifications, Ripley is sort of on an island geographically...no real grouping of schools to place them with (some within a reasonable distance, but with good groupings concerning those schools Ripley is the outlier), and football is even worse. I realize that this thread concerns baseball/softball and basketball, but I also know how bad it is to have no "common opponents" and traditional rivalries between all sports, since we've been in the old 15A grouping in most sports and going across the river in football recently. I'm not sure that I wouldn't consider playing up and sticking with tradition and travel distance if I were administration at Ripley.

      Winfree's senior year was the season she needed to secure more college interest. That opportunity was taken away from her. A lot of false assumptions can be made about what happened and what the options are. Unfortunately, the former coach and administration did not allow Winfree to have due process. A lawsuit was filed for a reason, and it will run its course by people who conduct discovery and take depositions. Unless the parties settle out of court, a lot of the pertinent issues will come to the public surface. The real questions are why was Winfree dismissed from the team, and why the administration backed a coach whom they did not rehire.

      Per usual, we'll be hard to beat in the regular season, I'm sure. It's the post season that I'm more worried about, specifically the coaches. Maybe they'll be able to make some adjustments that will keep the momentum in our favor. How's Grays recovery coming along?

      Something don’t add up here a college coach is not going to turn away a good player they need just because they didn’t get along with their high school coach

      RR, you might remember. Didn’t someone hide the kicking shoe that game? It seems I remember we had missed a kick the week before, and we needed all the points we could get. We thought we had a better chance going for two, so $?&@$ hid the shoe after the first miss that game. No one on our sideline looked for it very hard.
