Nothing different. Players have developed, gotten stronger, faster and totally bought in to the game plan. These young men are out to play for the team not for themselves. A lot believe a team can’t change in one year but after the crushing defeat in the playoffs last year I could see the change in the players eyes. They want more than to just make it to the playoffs.

Westview is not the same team from last year and UC isnt either . Should be a fun match up

UC is definitely the favorite, & is expected to win, hence the underdog Chargers have a no-pressure-here chance to shock everyone & prove the pundits & analysts wrong. Going with our northern neighbors Westview to pull off a big upset. Probably won’t happen, but anything is possible.

One thing different this year is that the psyche of the entire team was really affected when we had a top senior lineman go down with a devastating knee injury in the jamboree. It was not the run of the mill injury and those close to program know the extent. Then in the third game another senior lineman out for season with acl year on top of another dealing with some other health issues that could of turned life threatening. It was a difficult year.  Young guys had to step in and perform and they did well. These young guys have developed now even more with a year of being thrown in the fire and also a great off season.

 They save the Thursday nights for you bud. If TSSAA wanted us to move one of our games they would have told us. We just play the games don’t matter what night.
