Dyersburg visits Covington - Sept. 30

Well, this appears to be the key game in Region 7-3A for this season. The Trojans and the Chargers are each 2-0 in the region. The winner of this one will have a big advantage in trying to capture the Region championship.

The Covington Chargers are still smarting from losing twice to Dyersburg last year. Both games were at their place. Now, they have to come to us. I will bet that this game has been circled on the Covington schedule for a while. It’s probably not a coincidence that Coach Kirby had an open date right before this one. With two weeks to prepare and get everybody healed up from the minor bumps and bruises that they accumulated over the first five games, I expect the Chargers to come out breathing fire and brimstone. 
 

If I were getting the team ready to take the field Friday night I would tell them just one thing- “The playoffs start here”.

If Trojan coaching staff rolls into C-Town with the same game plan and effort they tried with PBody, this game will not even be close. Bring Crestview Middle to play the second half.

Well, I am several miles outside of town, so only saw the pics myself. I’m not aware of any injuries, though.

As bad as I hate to say it, Covington takes this one with ease. I just hope Dyersburg doesn't get their feeling hurt too bad. We still have key games left to clinch that 2nd spot. Win or lose,,Stay focused Trojans
