The Covington D is for real. Since that opening loss to Munford, the Charger first string D has not give up a single point over the next 5 games. Ripley and Brighton each were able to score a TD against the second-string D, but the #1’s are pitching a shutout.

I was told the charger threw the ball more last night? Any truth to that? I hope so!! Great win last night Chargers!!

When you admit that denying the Trenton broadcasters  the right to broadcast live was in bad taste and was just simply wrong.  You reep what you sew sir.

Gotcha. So the loss had nothing to do with the play on the field. Next week we will just flip a coin with BTW and not bother with the formalities of playing the game.

Got to admit, you are good at avoiding the issue I keep bringing up with you. Your continued avoidance indicates that you think Dyersburg was wrong in how they handled Peabody broadcast media a couple of weeks ago.

No sir. And if I was a streamer and was not allowed to livestream at Covington last night there would've been zero complaints from me.

So you would not be upset if a school denied Dyersburg radio the ability to broadcast a game live then? It would not be any different than what happened at your place. Good thing the TSSAA has media regulations that would prevent Dyersburg from pulling that stunt like what they did to Peabody in the post season. Same thing with Covington.

    • RR, you might remember. Didn’t someone hide the kicking shoe that game? It seems I remember we had missed a kick the week before, and we needed all the points we could get. We thought we had a better chance going for two, so $?&@$ hid the shoe after the first miss that game. No one on our sideline looked for it very hard.
    • I will never forget the 1983 Heritage vs Maryville game. I remember driving home and listening to WGAP. Can't remember the announcers name. He asked Coach Story why he kept going for 2? Story told him " Why didn't you ask Renfro that last year"
    • TSSAA will let them all go to Mase.
    • Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!
