First off I hate to hear that the young man that broke his collar bone don’t get to finish his season. Prayers  for that young man.

If this is true about the QB situation I personally think it’s bad for UC. #17 is one of those type players that is a threat to any defense at any position. I think he will be a Goldsmith type player at QB. Might not be as good as Goldsmith was at this point but definitely can be a game changer type player at that position.

Our defense is definitely set for the run and the only team to really get over 100 yards rushing  was Huntingdon. But I can promise you our DB’s will be ready for the pass and had plenty of warm up practice against Freedom Prep. It seemed the threw over 50 times. (Exaggerating) but they had less that 10 yards rushing.

They have different styles but WV is not better. Both teams are great. But the talent is even.

Fair assessment..

after playing UC and Westview this year, I can say that for sure I think they are even. Westview couldnt stop our rushing attack, but we couldnt pass on them. Their pass game beat us for sure. UC ran all over us, but we threw all over UC and they contained our run this year better than any team has so far.

My opinion and my opinion only.. UC wins round 2 of this match up by a single score.

UC 27

Martin 21

The Tornadoes get the Chargers the second time around. If I remember correctly, Union City was missing some key players in the last match up but are back healthy now. Westview losing their QB is a big deal. #17 Hamilton is a heck of a player, their is a reason he's a semifinalist for Mr. Football, but moving him to QB is putting a little too much on his plate in my opinion. Westview's offense becomes a little one dimensional when your best WR is now playing QB. Union City takes this game by 2 TDs. :thumb:

    • It is what it is. Sorry DFL.
    • One of the biggest loosing teams in Mid-State are the Macon County Tigerettes. I have noticed that the roster is smaller than in the years past. All the senior's have quit. We have a great group of Jr High players coming up. I sure hope they don't loose them, like they have lost so many others this year. With this young group of girls coming up, a weaker district, they should have no problem going to State.
    • It was updated this season, because I did it.  Linder is the school's all-time leading rusher at 5,156 yards with 2,436 of those coming in 2014.
    • Oh, I’m sure you did. Maybe you heard just a rumor, but considering we have a football practice field and a soccer field that’s frequently used for lacrosse games and practices, I highly doubt it. Let me change that. I know for a fact that didn’t happen.   Glad you finally stopped attacking a bunch of high school students, but still obsessed with the coaching staff for some unknown reason, even though you could name more than three (at most) coaches without looking it up. But now come up with something else.
    • You really mean the Price twin boys and Lyin Larry.
