I was at Milan in 2009, we were up at the half and the odds were stacked against us going into the game and I’m sure nobody ever thought we’d get that far in the first place but we never doubted ourselves that we couldn’t play with anyone we faced and this team reminds me of exactly that, Go Dragons!

It was the first time anyone led Milan all year. 15-14 York at the half. Our quarterback from that game, Brian Reynolds, was at the game tonight. He said he hopes York goes further than they did.

Yes I saw him myself tonight, if he didn’t get injured earlier that year I fully believe we would’ve been 10-0 going into playoffs and the sad thing is the games we lost besides Milan was less than 6 points and was pretty much from mistakes York made.

I know Brian coaches some elementary students where he lives but I’d really like to see him start coaching highschool football somewhere.

Only two from Clarkrange play. Stop making excuses for York beating Monterey...and now twice by 2 touchdowns...even with Monterey getting 5 downs and still not making a first down. Do the officials always give Monterey 5 downs?

Didn’t make excuses just said Monterey didn’t play to potential! Also note I said it was a bad call! Why Monterey went away from the wildcat that last series I will Never know! I also Know and knew that neither of these teams will get by Tyner! Good luck to Jamestown because I say Tyner by Fiddy and if they want I say they prob hang 70 on Either of these teams! I never once made a excuse! Great game but Monterey got beat but game before this when they played it was horrible just like when York played Bledsoe and got beat that night York didn’t play! Monterey showed tonight and got out coached in my opinion! Great game and good luck! You guys gonna need it!

Any word on Bowman?  I can’t speak a lot about Monterey football but I’m not sure why they leaned on him so much # 8 was an explosive back I would thought him and #4 would been a great one two punch.  One thing I like about York’s offense you can never tell who the back is gonna be.

His dad posted a pic with him after game and he was standing and seemed ok. I’m also like u and don’t know why Monterey kept leaving the Wildcat! Their QB is a giant and hard to take down. #8 is also a great back and Saylors their WR to me would if worked great in the backfield also because he is a athlete! Monterey had several weapons and all seniors that could of been used in many ways! Going to be hard to fill these boys shoes! Not sure what next year will hold for Monterey.

    • I'm not a Powell grad.  I am a Bearden grad.   My son and daughter are Powell grads.   I did radio play by play for Powell, my last year was 2013. I also did radio play by play for South Doyle, and my last gig was at Maryville before I retired.   My oldest grandson plays in the Karns Middle program, so I see more Karns games than I do Powell these days.  I've been to 3 Powell games since 2013.   I don't have any ties to Powell, haven't since 2013.   No "y'all" there.    And the kid you are talking about does have a very good arm, but he's not the QB that Deuce Rogers is.  Rogers is a legit dual threat guy.  The younger kid now at Clinton, or about to be at Clinton, isn't the dual threat that Rogers is.
    • No sir. I watched it specifically and it was very dirty. He cleated the boy on purpose. Apparently, it’s an issue in football as well from what several schools have said. That said, looking forward to a good game 3. ER hit it well in game 2.
    • He is the transfer. 5star spoke on him in their new qb1 series. Didn’t list em as a transfer but I knew the name
    • Gunner Warren was the second starter, freshman. SP #1 arm impressed me last night.
