THIS IS THE SECOND POLL OF THE SEASON. 

 

Now in its 30th year, The Poll is primarily a measure of dual meet strength with some consideration to individual tournament strength.   Votes are cast by a state-wide panel of high school wrestling coaches and are based on a maximum Power Ranking of 120.

Just being curious but how did Cleveland leapfrog Baylor?  Did I miss something and Cleveland beat Baylor?

They received more votes than Baylor, I'm assuming.

But why did they leapfrog Baylor is the question?  Did Cleveland beat Baylor?  Did Cleveland beat a nationally ranked team where it would lead one to believe they are legitimately better than Baylor?  Look this is not about Baylor it’s about people casting votes without legitimate reasons.  Will Cleveland and Baylor square off in a dual match this season?

Maybe the coaches that voted looked at a common opponent they have had (Bradley) and changed their vote based on those outcomes.  There is no science here.

Neither team is a top 50 team in the country

Huge holes at 120,126,132,195,220,HWT

Thats with Askew moving up to 138

Cleveland wins 120,126,132,152,182(if Omaury is at 170),195,220,HWT

and possibly 113

 Cleveland definitely the more solid team.
