In all honesty, from my point of view coach was just asking about the strike zone because it changed a lot within an inning. Nothing hostile, no yelling, just a simple question and the ump just says no more and Coach says something along the lines of “we would like to know” and boom he got tossed. Very weak ejection and I’ve heard the appealed and won, so no suspension.

In all honesty, he was chirping early and the ump did give him a warning. Was it a weak ejection, absolutely. I hate nothing more than an umpire/ref trying to big time the situation, which is what he did. Ump was definitely in the wrong and wasn’t consistent at all.
On the other hand, why would the coach risk getting on the umps bad side in the biggest game of the year! Dude has to know the situation and control himself. He cost his kids the game, no doubt. Had his ace on the mound and the kid got rattled. Will be an interesting game tomorrow for sure!

You’re right, can’t put yourself in the situation. Some umpires are like that, if you know they can have a quick trigger then it’s best to let it be. I’m   just glad he got to coach the next game and the appeal was won.

No doubt the ejection messed with the team’s psyche as it was an early one. After it happened, they settled down and played good baseball just was a tall task. 4 really good teams playing tomorrow.

All good points but left out is that "balls and strikes" is taboo to argue at almost every level. Managers get a lot more leeway to argue other points during a game than strike zones and pitch location...most have a quick trigger on the subject.
