Shout out to a former DB Indian

I don’t have that number but know several names that either got drafted or made an NFL roster.DB was a quick stop for Darian. I remember when I first found out through one of my sons that he was also going to stop playing for DB.I stepped out of my comfort zone and probably out of my place to talk to him. I told him the D1 teams would walk passed the older players just to talk to him if he kept playing down the road. No matter where that was.All he needed to do was hit those weights and make his grades because an injury could end his career at any time.Someone in his family or at the next school apparently done a tremendous job of getting A similar  message across. That young man from early on had just God given size and talent that very few are born with and you just love seeing that kind of potential develope into greatness. What ever happens with his future , he will always be a part of a Super Bowl Championship winning team.

How many guys has DB sent to the NFL?   I can think of a few but don't have the complete list

Bobby Dodd

Mike Fulkerson Dulaney

Teddy Gains

Gerald Sensabaugh

Coty Sensabaugh

Daniel Kilgore

Malik Foreman

Bob Cifers

Ed Cifers

Denver Crawford

Hal Miller

Darian Kinnard

Should have been: Devaun Swafford (Neck injury at UT)

A bunch more that I don't know about because they was on practice teams. I think there was a punter from DB also.

I am just old and watch local sports.

Hard to count Kinnard since he only spent his freshman year at DB.
Brandon Ghee played a couple years at DB I believe. He spent time with Bengals. I know his brother Pat, graduated in Kingsport, but I think they moved after that. Both played at Wake Forest.
the only other I can think of was Ty Hayworth but like Foreman never made the roster just spent time in camps.
I am sure I missed a few in there but not too sure

One of my favorite DB players was TY Hayworth who also went to Wake Forest. I always said it should be one of the big guys that held the DB strength records. He was the man in the weight room at DB and also at Wake Forest.
