Actually, it’s not decided yet; it’s still a betting battle, kind of like what it was with Briggs Cherry. Shivers dad is a teacher at Humboldt Junior/Senior High School, and so just like every football prodigy thats parents are teachers. Their parents are going to make more than the average teacher, just like Baylor did to get Cherry, but anyway, it’s still a bidding battle between Bearden Alcoa Blackmen and staying in Memphis at Humboldt Junior/Senior High School, but more than likely he’s moving to Knoxville since all of his family lives in Knoxville.

And Stephon Shivers is his name, I think he has a 247 because he has like offers to Arkansas & Michigan, But I can’t find it.

He has tons of family in Humboldt. I have known the Shivers all my life. And Humboldt is about 100 miles from Memphis.

Oh well MB Obviously, I'm not good at geography, or at least Memphis geography, but anyway, that’s just what I heard, and I don’t know how much family there is, but I know everyone on his dad's side lives in Knoxville, including his cousin who played for, I think, Maryville.

Everyone on Dads side does not live in Knoxville. This is so far from the truth it’s laughable.  It’s obvious that you are just throwing stuff out there to stir the pot.  I have nothing else to say. Everyone should ignore this.

His dads sister is the assistant principal at an elementary school down here. What are you talking about? I’m starting to think you don’t know what you’re talking about. I don’t know how much of a family they have over there but all I know is his two cousins live over here along with his dad’s sister and they wanted to move over here around Christmas time.

First Brandon Winton now Brody Blankenships from Carter according to 5starpreps most recent article. That NIL Collective they got going is  paying dividends.

What exactly does the NIL collective that Alcoa has look like? or is this just speculation? or is it Alcoa aluminum companies check book? lol....

    • Winfree's senior year was the season she needed to secure more college interest. That opportunity was taken away from her. A lot of false assumptions can be made about what happened and what the options are. Unfortunately, the former coach and administration did not allow Winfree to have due process. A lawsuit was filed for a reason, and it will run its course by people who conduct discovery and take depositions. Unless the parties settle out of court, a lot of the pertinent issues will come to the public surface. I wrote about many of the issues here: https://bdnewsletter.news/2023/11/17/grounds-for-investigation-and-suspension/ I interviewed Winfree after she was dismissed from the team and wrote about it here: https://bdnewsletter.news/2023/12/01/a-new-interview-with-sable-winfree/ Winfree had been on teams in Warren County since the fourth grade and never been dismissed from a team. The real questions are why was Winfree dismissed from the team, and why the administration backed a coach whom they did not rehire.
    • What is the hold up here? I have not heard anything in weeks. Are they waiting for the right person or is something else going on?
    • Per usual, we'll be hard to beat in the regular season, I'm sure. It's the post season that I'm more worried about, specifically the coaches. Maybe they'll be able to make some adjustments that will keep the momentum in our favor. How's Grays recovery coming along?
    • Something don’t add up here a college coach is not going to turn away a good player they need just because they didn’t get along with their high school coach
    • RR, you might remember. Didn’t someone hide the kicking shoe that game? It seems I remember we had missed a kick the week before, and we needed all the points we could get. We thought we had a better chance going for two, so $?&@$ hid the shoe after the first miss that game. No one on our sideline looked for it very hard.
