Deeper
Charges dropped against former Halls High School football coach Jason Curtis - Main Street Media of Tennessee (mainstreetmediatn.com) In Lauderdale, Dyer and Lake Counties, the law is, and has always been, a very slippery slope. How many of us would have had those kind of charges just...Dropped? The guy admitted to drinking 24 beers. Offered the cop $5,000 to let him go. Had to be threatened with a tazing before he'd get in the patrol car. Am I wrong in saying this is a terrible example to the players? That you can behave like that, do those things, and walk away? As long as the laws are applied equally there is absolutely no problem. If those counties that you mentioned have a bad law then work to change the law. Tell us more about the slippery slope laws in Lake Co? I may need to know someday.

It's just like Dyer and Lauderdale. It's a place where some people can be caught driving blind drunk, refuse to pull over for a few miles, offer the officer $15,000 (not $5,000) to let him go, belligerently refuse to get in the patrol car, is threatened to be tased for non-compliance, admits to drinking about 30 beers and is able to plea deal all the way down to reckless driving. That's more than a plea deal. That is lawlessness. That's foul play or nepotism. Maybe it's a matter of what does that coach know about that judge. It's something along these lines. The bottom line is that it's CORRUPTION. If you don't recognize this as corruption then you are either stupid or you have a dog in this hunt. Why don’t you take it to the TBI instead of fussing on here about it?

Exactly or report those in the court system to the state ethics committee.
