i saw somewhere Lawrence county dropped a scrimmage to collinwood and lost a jamboree to mt pleasant. can anyone confirm this?

Yes, Collinwood varsity beat them and Mt. Pleasant. Cwood also topped Summertown and McNairy Central. I think Cwood only gave up 3 varsity tds in all combined scrimmages. Also beat PCHS in a half 8-0. LC has some good players and coaches they just aren’t very composed.

I think it's safe to say that most on this thread are expecting big things from Tullahoma. The pressure is on! Region champs or bust

My predicted order of finish is:

1. Tullahoma
2. Shelbyville
3. Lawrence Co.
4. Lincoln Co.
5. Columbia
6. Franklin Co.
7. Spring Hill

I think Tullahoma is better than they were at this point last year.  You can't always go by scrimmages.  I still say every school except Spring Hill has a playoff chance.  Key games in week 1:

Tullahoma vs Stewart's Creek, Siegel vs Shelbyville, Franklin County vs Coffee County, Marshall County vs Columbia

These games will give us a clearer picture.

Do you still say 9-1? I’m thinking losses to Stewart’s Creek, Rockvale, and one region loss (Lincoln Co. or Columbia maybe?). So I’ll say Tullahoma goes 7-3 and wins the region. But I also think it could be wide open. I think the floor is 5-5.

    • I have no issues with the Karns Middle School program.   Good coaches and he's with the kids he goes to school with.  He's a rising 6th grader who had to play with 6th grade kids last year because Karns didn't have enough kids for a 5th grade age team.  He's in a good place at this point.   My daughter is a single mom with 4 kids under 11 years old.  We help her out with logistics, so staying in our own area right now is important.  Once he gets to high school age, who knows what happens?  That bridge will be crossed when we get there.
    • I know he was a backup but I thought he filled in well when the starter went down. Never a bad thing to have a change of pace back
    • That would be a good get for them. Lowe always finds a way. Pretty sure they have their Rb from last year returning but not that line of beef
    • One school has said it, it was York…who Oneida and many school that played them before we did claimed that they were the dirtiest bunch they’ve played. Riverside didn’t call us dirty nor did smith after they beat us. Ur only dirty if your the one giving out the whoopins.
    • If it was anyone but #8 I would agree with you. Theirs a couple people on that team that probably would. Not him. And I who was standing on the 1st base line fence saw clearly that the boys foot was covering more than half the bag.
