All moved to 8pm Friday.

Back in the day (50's 60's, 70's & 80's) did most high school football games not begin at 7:30pm or 8:00pm?  Maybe those older folks were a little smarter than people want to give the credit for.

The fact that TSSAA in August, 2021 made a change to the heat index policy for "competitions" in that there is now NO HEAT INDEX POLICY for competitions would be laughable if it was not so dangerously negligent. The almighty dollar has been placed above the safety of student-athletes, make no mistake.

(To be clear, having a medical professional present and a coldwater immersion tub on site is NOT a policy if there are heat index gradients that prevent practices or scrimmages, which are much more controlled.)

I played '67-'70 and all of our games started at 7:30

North Red Bank Mountain Eaglets at ND Fightin Irish altered to a 2000 KO time....as is all of Hamilton County competitions

in 78'-82' down in south bama we were kickin it off at 1930.....we were also doin 3 /days w/ 2 exterior sessions....no ID what a heat index was other than it was darn hot and humidified....and wernt gonna be any practices canceled

....just shuff more salt tablets down

Those salt tablets were worse than the heat. Always made for good projectile vomiting.

Instead of driving from Memphis to Atwood for an 8pm game, Harding Academy forfeited  their game at WestCarroll.

Harding Academy should be required to pay a minimum fine of $25K for canceling the game.  This is totally ridiculous.
