Surf4life
Predictions for this game tonight at SH? Both teams are undefeated.
CHHS72
Science Hill will demolish Rhea County. Unless Rhea County has improved greatly since I saw them last year there is no way they can deal with Scienc Hill's speed, quickness and depth. Whiskers
Wish I could be there to see it.... If Rhea Co. plays their best, it should be a close game.
Surf4life
I think Rhea County must've improved a lot since last year. They are something like 10-0 right now and they look like a good team. They have speed like Science Hill, play good defense, and shoot the ball well. I think the only advantage SH may have is height. It should be a good game.
Surf4life
Science Hill wins 77-59 over Rhea County. SH played very sloppy tonight....now they can prepare for tuesday's showdown with DB. SH's record is now 5-0, Rhea County drops to 10-1. Rhea County is a good team. The tall kid..Hyatt I think his name is is very good. Even though they got the win tonight SH played sloppy and needs to clean that up before tuesday's game. chill
Science Hill had way too much depth for Rhea County. 6/7 jr. Anthony Barcel had 10 points and 10 boards. Nick Bradley pitched in 19. DD Hamilton was a big lift off the bench with 13. Science Hill got down 12-4 early, but SH's second team started a 13-1 run, and the Hilltoppers never looked back. Rhea County was 3/18 from three's. Hyatt had 10 and Josh Smith had 23. Rhea County has a good team, but they are not on the level with SH, DB, G'ville, or Maryville at least right now. They only played 7 kids in the first half, and they wore down. They are well-coached, but they will struggle to consistently compete with teams that have size and go 10 deep ...... `
Surf4life
Does anyone know who is #52 for SH? Also chill or anyone else, what do you think of tuesdays showdown between SH and DB?
Stokomo
Tuesday's showdown will be a great one. But, DB's Seth Jervis, who is averaging 22 ppg, has an ankle turn that kept him out of Volunteer's game with DB Friday. He is a major factor for DB. But the bench for DB impressed me. They are better than many think this season.
CHHS72
I think Science Hill will beat D-B. They are a better team because they have more depth. The game will be close just because this is SH v. DB and they have a very long and heated rivalry. The SH-Rhea Co. game shows why you cannot just look at records to determine team strenght. They do not play as god a brand of basketball in Rhea Co.'s part of the state as we do in northeast Tennessee. Most of their wins where against weak teams. chill
#52 is a post on the second team for Science Hill. I can't remember if that was the black or white post player. The black kid is Ian McKinney and is a decent player. The white kid looks about 6/5 and has a nose for the ball and hits the boards hard.... I think if Jervis is healthy they would give Science Hill all they can handle. DB is loaded with kids that have seen SH's pressure and know how to handle it. Blye, Williams, and Lambert are all excellent players that can hit the big shot. Add Jervis, a strong ballhandler with size who can see over the press, to that mix and DB should have a great chance to win. Barcel will be a key factor against DB, if he plays well SH wins..... Guest williamD
science hill has a great team---rhea co lead 12-4 and had a layup and 3 pointer taken away that could put them up by 15,4 charges in first half cost rchs game was tied 34-34 with 1 plus before half but 12-vs 7 got tired look for shhs to go to state rhea may make it drilled tennessee high by lead by 29 in 4th qt
ArtusCimber
#52 for science hill is Ian Mckinney. He is a sophomore and has stepped up and played pretty good in the second group. The other post is 6'6 senior matt lorencen. He has also played pretty well for SH in the second group hitting the boards hard. toppers look pretty good again this season. hope to see them in murfreesboro
