Personally I think Flo is missing a few of our kids who should be ranked but here are our TN kids that are ranked on FloWrestling

113-

15. Jojo Uhorchuck - Signal Mtn

132-

3. Cooper Hilton - Boom Ranch

145-

7. Logan Paradice - Baylor

160-

16. Max Norman - Baylor

17. Logan Fowler - Cleveland

So who did Flo miss?

In the very light weight classes on Flo I've noticed an overwhelming lack of kids from the south east and not just TN.  Completely dominated by PA, OH, NJ, IL, NY, etc.    Occasional FL, OK, GA, TN kid.

The sport is much larger and more important up north, again, particularly in those lighter weight classes, and therefore hard for the south eastern kids to get the necessary eyeballs unless they can consistently and impressively AA or beat top ranked opponents. Example being the Raney brothers out of KY.

On the flip side I've noticed over the last few years that not many native TN young men survive more than one to two years at D1 schools, fewer ever start, and even less make an impact (wrestling is so hard, no knock here). I'm not counting incoming transplants or TN kids who wrestled the majority of their career out of state.  Of course the same may be true for other northern states as well.  Point being, maybe the rankings are correct.

So who did Flo miss?

So, is Logan Paradice back at The Baylor School after abruptly leaving last season?

Idk if Flo is actually aware of that entire situation or not lol.

I do know that despite being out currently Landon Desselle has 3 wins over Logan. One in each style. But that was a while ago and he has a dec loss to Gabriel Bouyssou who's 11. Either way he should be in the mix there.

I know you guys may say its just rankings who cares but some colleges do. They'll give money based on these accolades. Its important to get it right.

    • there will be a couple of teams, that could make some noise
    • Dyersburg may win back to back to back championships. They are going to be hands down the best 3A team. Plus their District/region/sectionals are not very good. They basically just have to make it to region out of a 5 team district that has a few decent teams. South Gibson will be okay but they graduate their best player and there is nobody in the region 7 or region 8 who is going to compete with them.
    • I remember very well watching things change in the late 80's and yes it's all schools. Most people that are in charge today have any idea because they were raised and taught under this social experiment so they don't have a clue. Anyone that does see the truth for what it is usually try and hide it by blending in so that the School Gestapo doesn't round them up and take them to the Fuhrer ( kindly putting it ). Yes it is all schools not just Maryville. This train ride is not headed in a good direction and if the public had seen a movie of what's happening now back in 1980 everyone would have been headed home afterwards to change underware.
    • Hoping to make the playoffs.
    • You are so correct!  It’s really 99.9% of academia want to change to way that education is not only taught but the way it is viewed.  The pendulum has definitely swung as far to the left as possible and eventually will swing to the right much too far.  I have always  said that politics and one’s personal religious views need to stay out of education,  but for the last 40 years education has been running full throttle to what we have today.  If the social experiment that we are currently experiencing continues it is only a matter of time before the public school system in the USA completely collapses and all kids attend private schools or even worse don’t go to school.
