I guess with the departure of Rosser went the departure of all the talent @ Central. What it sounds like, at least. This used to be THE GAME in the 90s.

Rosser is another example of flash pan success. He got the players in after a few bad years and they win 2 state titles. He leaves and they go back to normal.

His formula wasn't followed up on after he left.

And it wasn't because he didn't try to be sure it was handed down.

If others won't listen, that's on them.

Formula of getting players in. Rosser is a great guy, but he knew he had to get the players in for central to be good. He did a great job of doing that and it showed. 3 state appearances and won it twice. He leaves and kids go to other schools now. Central hadn't been good since the 90s and early 2000s. He even had a few down years until he got his kids in the school. To win in Knox area you have to recruit. Everyone is doing it, some are better than others and it shows.

Craney has to be the most vanilla, boring, predictable coach in East Tennessee.

I hate that it happened, of course, but when your guys’ stud RB went out I think it actually kinda helped y’all (as weird as it sounds) because y’all started opening up the passing game and our guys weren’t really ready for it or expecting it. Y’all caught a few big passes that caught our D off guard. I think it was a so-so game for OR. We won pretty comfortably, but still a lot of things to work on. Plus, it didn’t help having 3 or 4 really good starters out, but every team is dealing with something similar this time of year. Need to improve a lot to have a chance to win against Farragut.
