Mcminn Central Chargers vs Tyner Rams

Does central bounce back from their loss against the Meigs County tigers and have enough juice to beat the young, but ever improving tigers of Tyner.  I think Tyner can give central some trouble and possibly "upset" them for what it's worth, I hope central can pull of the W and secure a home playoff berth 2nd seed so they can have a home game in the  postseason. Massey ratings say the game will be central 20 Tyner 35. I hope not

Likely a home field game on the line with this one. Tyners speed will likely give Central some trouble.

This isn't a typical rams team this season. They have some speed in spots more so on defense but poor tackling negates that. I don't see the secondary being able to cover centrals receivers

You played Marion pretty good So I know your team has some talent. Of Central overlooks you, they could regret it.

I don't understand however how your team can have a close game with Sweetwater and give Marion a decent game. Marion is some.better than last year, but Sweetwater is terrible right now.. guess preparation is key.

They have talent its small things that get them against sweetwater it was turnovers you fumble on their 27 after driving down the field then an int on a drive on their side of the field again. They moved the ball pretty well against them. I know SW arent the 85 bears defense but for a young offense they played ok. Marion was probably the best ive seen them play on defense all season but still small things again missed tackles, two of marions tds someone hit them in the backfield and missed and it was off the the races and the other was missed tackles in the open field. The offense is the same way you watch the film and its one missed assignment on the o-line from breaking big runs but its the same thing every game. I will say i think they will come out against central and play hard seeing whats at stake central just has to many weapons

This is a big one and a hard one to pick for me, both played Brainerd close 14-12 Tyner over Brainerd and 21-20 Central over Brainerd, I think if Tyner can run the ball and control the clock they have a chance to win, but I think Central gets the win at home. And it’s the Tyner Rams BTW. Good luck to you guys.

I see Central in this one.  I think Meigs was motivated and very physical Friday night.  I think Gabe will have a big night

I can see them winning, but my only argument against the chargers this week would be of all the teams to play after a very physical game, you definitely don't want it to be Tyner. They graduated a lot but they're still capable of being very physical, and Meigs gave them the blueprint.

State scheduled District Games this year.....Central did not make the district schedule. You know the TSSAA knows what is best for high school football in Tennessee. ;-)

    • That is absolutely not the truth.  Few if any college coaches or school administrators want to be in the middle of legal proceedings if there is any way possible to avoid being caught in the middle.  With that being said I have two questions: 1.  Why would a coach remove any player from the team for using the F WORD?  Yes, I fully understand the player must be held accountable for her actions.  Maybe extra running and even a one game suspension but if every kid or coach that used improper language was kicked on the team or fired, they would have no players or coaches available to play the games. 2.  If there was truly another player or coach that witnessed this situation, and they agree with the player then by all means the coach should be held accountable for their actions.

    • Assistant football staff still the same? Any replacement for Brian Beaubien? Who will be the DC? Will there be anything going on this spring with football? I go watch practice often.
