Probably the best move they could have made

Not too surprised by them going this direction. Coffee County was a young team last year, and there first string  QB was out most of the season. They should be better next year, but unfortunately they are in a very tough region, and will probably be in this region for awhile.

Same here, in a good year they'll be in the hunt for the 4th seed, which could be next yr, alot of 3-6A teams will be in rebuild mode

It be nice if Coffee County would build another high school and it could help them get out of 6A. Plus another school could lead to more kids being able to play more sports

Although the county is growing, not likely to happen anytime soon. City of Manchester proposed building there own high school several years ago, but the study never went very far. Warren County  is in a similar situation with Coffee County, both have large enrollments.

Cumberland  County was once a large 6A school, when they built Stone Memorial, that split the enrollment, both schools are now  4A. The split has been more beneficial to Stone Memorial in football.
