Somebody told me that they don’t even have field houses over there. All that money they got and not even a field house for the football team? Franklin has very nice facilities, but they do have many other problems. Edited December 15, 2023 by MidStateFan1 a

Not sure the names but resource has stated it’s down between those two. You would think since they got an early start on the interview process they would’ve had someone by now. If the athletic program at Franklin High School were supported properly by the school board and administration they could have the best overall public school athletic program in Tennessee. The problem with Franklin and most schools for that matter is that those individuals that make the hiring decisions rarely know how to hire a successful coach. The students at Franklin are a mix of inner-city, blue collar, affluent, etc… so that all of the sports programs could be successful. It would require that all of the coaches were not only on the same page but were willing to share each others athletes. You’re describing the Franklin demographics 15 years ago, it’s now mostly affluent. Most of the blue collar kids are zoned for Centennial or Indy. The current administration will probably go with the less qualified guy.

Not sure if that is bc of friends of the program or if he can actually get the job done. Smells like the first one. I’m not for sure, but I don’t think he’s even the offense or defensive coordinator at Gallatin.

Verb58
If it is who you guys are alluding too, you will be making a tremendous hire. Selfishly I hope he doesn’t take the job at Franklin. I would hate to lose such a fine young man. He has nothing but upside to give. Ex-Military with outstanding leadership abilities. Franklin would be exceptionally blessed to hire a man of his caliber.

Whoever Franklin hires, I hope that coach has some success (just not against Indy). Franklin has been competitive these last few years but just couldn’t ever finish. I believe Franklin should have several players back as in qb and a receiver that was tough to cover. Will be interesting to see who gets the nod. GREENWAVE84EG
Franklin is getting a super great guy that will bring lots of energy to the program. He has lots of football knowledge and leadership qualities. He was Gallatin's special teams coordinator. The official announcement should come in the next day or two. Hopefully he can get all the students walking in the hallways out to play, what we’ve been missing past couple years.
