Comparing GP and Vandy are not really the same.     GP used to be a powerhouse school in football.    They spent on a beautiful gym for basketball and volleyball.  And baseball/softball has always had nice facility.

The new President seems to be making moves!

Two hall of fame coaches resigned within months of his taking over. He also ran off a girls basketball coach that took them to the state tournament for the first time in 25 years. And then he goes to the state semi finals his first year at a new school.

The softball field is the worst in the district other than MJCA. Might want to check out DA's field.

Baseball field is nice except for the tiny dimensions. However, you have to literally climb a ladder to get into the press-box.

Every other school has lights also.

If you drive over to DA you will see a school that is not afraid to spend money.

We will see what "moves" he is making. First choice turns them down. On to plan B.

They are talking about 3 classes with equal number of schools and maybe have success be a factor in classification. I think it’s scheduled for a February meeting.

That would bump you, Knox Webb, Chatt Christian and Lipscomb up although Lippy did it themselves. Success part will never happen.

Means Davidson, Boyd and FRA would fight it out in AA.

Pope might be required to go back up....unless success is a component.

They are announcing today. If the rumors are true, this guy has already left them once and he will do it again when a better job comes open.

There are a lot of better jobs available, he just couldn't land them. But, i do agree with you... this tenure will be short..... and not as sweet as the first go round.

From what I heard he does inherit some young talent. Just hope he can keep them out. Definitely will not be as sweet as his first year in Madison.

    • Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!
    • I would not put too much stock into the UH over Eagleville. From what I understand they were pretty banged up in that tourney. Catcher was out, they were throwing pretty deep in their bullpen and a few key players were beat up in their infield. Sounds like they are pretty healthy heading into the district tournament. Look at their schedule, they played some really good teams.
