Dobyns Bennett wins region 1 big school.  Science Hill or Jefferson County in 2nd

Crockett wins region 1 small school. Probably Tennessee in 2nd place.

Halls wins region 2 big school. Maryville in 2nd place

Pigeon Forge wins region 2 small school.  2nd place,  AC  or Seymour.

Region 3 big school is Cleveland.

Soddy wins everything small school out of region 4.

That's about all I know or an willing to predict.

It looks like DB beat SH 48-27 in the Region 1 AA duals

Crockett won Region 1 A tonight, but not sure who got in second

Probably Tennessee HS if I had to guess.

Clinton def Gibbs 34-34 on 4th criteria last night,  then wrestled AC for district 3. AC won 48-27.

AC and Seymour wrestle today for what I'm sure will be second place behind Pigeon forge in Region 2.

TN High got second in the Region 1.

David Crockett 57 over Cocke 18

David Crockett 40 over TN 35

But it looks like there were four forfeits by Crockett at the end of the TN matches.

TN High 34 Greeneville 33

Greeneville 48 Cocke 27

do you have a breakdown of this? Did Summit forfeit at the end or did Nolensville really keep it that close

I was there, it was that close. Summit didn't get the bonus points they needed at weights they needed them and Nolensville did.

They needed a major at heavyweight to win the dual and got it.

Alcoa over Heritage 50-24

 Samuel Everett Over Heritage 51-27

Samuel Everett over Alcoa 48-33

Alcoa wrestle Stone Memorial tomorrow and Sesi wrestles Cumberland County to make it to sub state.

I didnt know Samuel Everett was that good this year! I'm interested to hear who makes it out of this tomorrow night since Soddy and Signal will have to wrestle the winners!

    • Why did the coach get rehired after she was let go as an assistant by the former Warren County coach and the current AD?? Is that accurate?? I am very familiar with situations like this. Suprised lawsuits haven't happend before. If the coach unfairly let the player go, I think she has a shot because it cost her a scholarship. No college is going to offer a scholarship to a player that is kicked off of the team. Not going to happen. There are bad hires like this a bunch and kids are treated unfairly by coaches that can't coach a lick and have super long ropes somehow. Amazing how some of these coaches get hired and keep their job.
    • I am going to assume you are not a lawyer, and most reasonable lawyers would not say the lawsuit has a zero percent chance in court. I agree with you that a coach has the ability to dismiss anyone from a team. However, Ms. Winfree was never presented with the opportunity to present her witnesses and have them tell the coaches and administrators what they heard. A lawyer could better explain the lawsuit and the grounds to you. Before you start making wild assumptions about the lawsuit, would it be too much to ask that you do a little legal research first? The lawsuit is dealing with due process, loss of property, and defamation.   You can read the lawsuit here: https://bdnewsletter.files.wordpress.com/2024/04/doc-1-complaint-filed-4-18-2024.pdf
    • The administration took the path of backing the coach and whispering to people that the kid was a problem. The reality is that the kid was never a problem on a team or classroom. The player says she has witnessed who back her not saying the f-word.  Why did the coach make that story up and other stories? I am not Sigmund Freud and do not have an answer for the ex=-coach's behavior..
    • I think they have they coach they want close to being done. I guess we will all see how this plays out. I hope the hire a good one. There are some players in the box for the next coach to work with.
