I think McCallie will win but recognize I have a bias. That said, it wouldn't shock me for any of those three teams to win it all. It's that close imo and could literally be decided on the toss. 

 

Why would anyone ever think that Coach Pat Simpson would shuffle his lineup to get the matchups that would help him win another state title?  In his 40+ years of coaching he has never shown a tendency to move kids around!

agreed. i said it at the beginning of the year last year when i called them winning it all, Ryan is too good top to bottom right now when at 100%

It’s a toss up between Baylor, McCallie, and Ryan. Any of the 3 could win it. It’s close between all of them.

I asked because he has to wonder if Calvin beats Olli giving up the weight because he has to weigh in light for McCallie in the next round. I’d imagine he does it but I don’t know how that match goes for sure. I’d imagine Calvin wins but that’s why they wrestle

Calvin would beat Ollie IMO. Still not sure Bond gets down to 114. Ryan has a lot flexibility up to 175. Will be interesting to see their moves for sure.

      RR, you might remember. Didn’t someone hide the kicking shoe that game? It seems I remember we had missed a kick the week before, and we needed all the points we could get. We thought we had a better chance going for two, so $?&@$ hid the shoe after the first miss that game. No one on our sideline looked for it very hard.

      I will never forget the 1983 Heritage vs Maryville game. I remember driving home and listening to WGAP. Can't remember the announcers name. He asked Coach Story why he kept going for 2? Story told him " Why didn't you ask Renfro that last year"

      Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!
