Name a player that’s gone to college and really went off  from Alcoa besides Cobb ?

You still didn’t answer - “went off” - what does that even mean

what an idiot answer !

right now there are 5/6 tornadoes in college that either start or will play 25 plus snaps a game

very very few hs teams in America can say that

some my old guys may have a better answer this - but I know of 4 nfl players from Alcoa. How many HS have 4 from a School the Size of Alcoa

Lets compare a list of Football players from Alcoa and AE for JUST the last 4 years.........

Lance Williams - Virginia Tech

Bubba Jefferies - U of Indiana

Grey Carrol - Liberty U.

Brandon Winton - USF

Eli Owens - U of Michigan

....I'll stop here and let you catch up..😎

All those players are about as homegrown as the kids from Knoxville Catholic, Knoxville Webb, Baylor, Lipscomb Academy, McCallie, etc. That are current playing college ball.:roflol:

See if your starting QB can spell... Mississippi for you you. Next, who's next.

This is coming from a guy who is a fan of the football program that has to beg smart students from the school to join the football team to keep the team's GPA up. I wonder if those kids even come to any practices. I know they get a lot of free stuff from the coaches, though, that must keep them happy.

I would be careful about throwing stones when it comes to which high school is higher ranked for academics.  You might be surprised that Alcoa is ranked 30th (15th by Niche)  in the state with a 98% graduation rate and Bearden is ranked 50th (29th by Niche) with a 91% graduation rate for traditional high schools.

That has nothing to do with the football department.

It does when most of the guys play football at Alcoa if you look at the student population to how many actually play 😂.  Bearden of all teams in Knoxville right now shouldn't be throwing stones about recruiting or education when it's a proven fact Alcoa is a better school academically (This might rub you wrong too but Farragut is better than both in academics being 6th in the state )

No duh, I just told you why so many students are on the football team or listed as being on the football team, even though they probably never show up and I’ve never seen them. They are just there to keep the team’s grades up, and I don’t really care about our rank. I’m just glad our football team doesn’t have to recruit students who are smart just to maintain the team’s grades.

Dude you our a moron, if  you truly thing Alcoa is doing what you think they are.  You really think the head coach (who i've coached against when he was a d coordinator and know how intense he is no matter if its 1st string or 7th string) is just letting kids show up on Friday and not actually coach them up and be apart of a whole team the entire week? Are these smart kids dumb enough to let a coach talk them into just showing up?  You had a Huge starter last year that went to an Ivy league school, you had Winton go to USF and you have the TE committed to Michigans just off the top of my head, these aren't dumb kids when 98% of the school graduates
